CM20
Yealink CM20 — a ceiling microphone array with sixteen omnidirectional microphones and eight independent pickup zones, connected to the room by a single Ethernet cable and carrying audio over AES67.
16 omnidirectional microphones
8 independent pickup zones
3.2 m pickup at STIPA 0.78
AES67
PoE 802.3af class 3
Φ 223 × 83 mm, 615 g
16 omnidirectional microphone elements in one ceiling disc
8 independent pickup zones
Pickup radius of 3.2 m at STIPA 0.78, or 4.5 m at STIPA 0.72
AES67 network audio protocol, one cable for audio and power
PoE power to IEEE 802.3af class 3, 5.7 W typical consumption
Three mounting options, in-ceiling, pendant and on-ceiling
The CM20 moves voice pickup from the table into the ceiling. No table microphones and no cables to them are left on the meeting surface, the device hangs out of reach of the participants and the table stays clear. The disc is 223 mm across and 83 mm high with the cover, and it weighs 615 g.
Sixteen omnidirectional microphone elements work across eight independent pickup zones. The pickup range is given by two figures according to speech transmission quality, a radius of 3.2 m at STIPA 0.78 and a radius of 4.5 m at STIPA 0.72, both measured at a reverberation time of RT60 408 ms at 1 kHz, background noise of 40 dBA and a mounting height of 2.8 m. Room acoustics and ceiling height therefore move the result and belong in the room survey.
Audio and power both run over a single Ethernet cable. The device has one RJ-45 port, runs over AES67 and draws PoE power to IEEE 802.3af class 3, which an ordinary PoE switch can supply. In the Yealink system the CM20 is connected together with the CS10 ceiling speakers into an AVHub or into an RCH40 E2 PoE switch next to the host of the MVC system.
Eight independent zones and sixteen microphone elements in a single ceiling unit
One RJ-45 cable for audio and power, PoE 802.3af class 3 with no need for PoE+
Low consumption, 5.7 W typical and 9 W rated, which spares the switch budget
Three mounting options, in-ceiling, pendant and on-ceiling, with the brackets in the box
The network audio protocol is AES67; the CM20 does not support Dante. For an installation built on Dante, the SkySound Pro Audio range offers the CM50 microphone array.
The frequency range is 120 Hz to 16 kHz and the internal AEC has one channel. This is a speech microphone for a meeting room, not wideband capture.
A white cover is in the box. The black cover is optional; it is not part of the package.
The topology is a star. Daisy-chaining is not supported and EEE is to be switched off on the switch. At most 2 microphones and 2 speakers connect directly, and at most 4 and 4 per host when extended through a switch.
Certification applies to the room system, not to this single element.
CM20 or CM50
The protocol and the mounting method decide. 1303095 CM20 is a 223 mm disc, it runs over AES67 and it is plug and play into an MVC system. The CM50 from the Pro Audio range is a ceiling panel that replaces a 60 × 60 cm tile, runs over Dante and belongs with the AP08 processor. Confusing the two by name is the most common mistake in an enquiry, because each model needs a different ceiling preparation.
The PoE budget belongs in the design
The CM20 draws 5.7 W typically, but the CS10 ceiling speaker draws 24 W rated and needs PoE+ 802.3at class 4. The total budget is 90 W on the RCH40 E2 switch and 80 W on the AVHub. The number of units is therefore set by the power budget and by the limit of 2 plus 2 directly, or 4 plus 4 through a switch, not by the size of the room.
Room acoustics make the pickup
Yealink measures the 3.2 m and 4.5 m figures at RT60 408 ms, background noise of 40 dBA and a mounting height of 2.8 m. In a higher ceiling, in a glazed room and with no acoustic treatment, expect a different result. For larger halls we therefore recommend a room survey before any count of units is quoted.
A ready-made kit for a medium room
The ready-made CMKit-121 kit contains a CM20, two CS10 speakers and an RCH40 E2 switch. One kit covers a 5 × 8 m room and two kits 6 × 10 m. It is a sound starting point for a quote, which the partner then adapts to the shape of the room.

A medium or large meeting room where the table is to stay clear, an MVC system with an AVHub or an RCH40 E2 switch, a suspended ceiling that can be anchored into, a network with PoE and a requirement for AES67.
The height and type of the ceiling and the fixing method. Room acoustics, that is reverberation, glazing and background noise. The PoE budget on the switch and the number of ports. How many microphones and speakers the system will carry. Whether the customer insists on Dante. Where the cable will run and who will make the penetration.
The CM50 from the SkySound Pro Audio range where the installation is to run over Dante, where it is a divisible hall or where the design is built around the AP08 processor. A video bar with its own microphone array where the ceiling is not to be touched.
The "Verify" and "Consider another model" cards come from the experience of the atlantis team.

The atlantis team will help with every point. With ceiling audio we also help to think through the acoustics and the ceiling height, the PoE budget and the layout of the zones, so that the number of units matches the shape of the room and not merely its floor area.
Management follows the platform: in native mode the device is managed from the administration of the platform the room runs.
Yealink Management Cloud Service (YMCS): cloud management of Yealink devices, that is bulk firmware updates, status monitoring and alerts. Support and the scope of management differ by model and licence, so check both with us for the specific device and system.
atlantis is a direct importer and distributor, and we deliver projects through a network of specialist partners. The services below are therefore offered to the partner, not to the end customer. The partner sets the scope. On one project we take on the whole delivery, on another we cover just the part the partner currently lacks capacity or specialisation for, and on a third the partner manages alone and uses us only for a consultation.
Before the decision: a consultation on choosing the system and a comparison of the suitable options. The recommendation is built on the size and the character of the room, that is light, acoustics, shape, seating layout and furnishing, then on headcount and on how meetings are actually run there. We offer a live demonstration at our premises, which the partner can bring their customer to, and where it is warranted a test installation, that is a proof of concept.
Delivery and installation: transport, professional mounting and the work that goes with it, that is cabling, installation material, brackets and room alterations. We handle the installation in full, or support the partner's own team where needed.
Network readiness and security: we advise on preparing the network for the demands of two-way real-time video, that is throughput, latency and traffic prioritisation, and on securing the communication.
Configuration and integration: setting up the communication platform and the room account, connecting to the network, and advice on linking and integrating third-party software and hardware.
Training and documentation: training prepared to match the user's role, that is one thing for room users and another for administrators, plus preparation of both project and user documentation.
Service and support after the sale: our certified team in Czech, available to the partner throughout the equipment's life. We handle a warranty claim with the manufacturer on the partner's behalf.
The standard warranty on Yealink products is 24 months. On top of it we offer two different things that are easy to confuse.
Extended warranty
Extends the warranty period, that is how long the customer is entitled to repair or replacement of a faulty unit. The abbreviation stands for Assurance Maintenance Services.
1 to 3 years
Service programme
Changes how the service is delivered. It covers priority support with escalation during business hours, advance hardware replacement with the unit dispatched the next business day from local European service stock, warranty service aligned with the licence period, the YMCS-Room-Professional package, software updates and access to the Yealink online support centre.
2 to 5 years
Take note
A customer buys one of them, not both. AMS is enough where a longer warranty is all that is needed, PrimeCare is the choice where room downtime is expensive and the customer needs fast replacement and management. For video products the cap on total warranty is five years, and AMS is bought consecutively, so it must not leave a gap at the end of the existing warranty.

Order codes. AMS for the CM20 510102001100 to 510102001102, that is for one to three years. PrimeCare is not tied to a single device; for a system it is ordered by the room size class, and for the MVC/ZVC classes from Small to Extra Large the codes are 510102000875 to 510102000890 for two to five years.
The Yealink CM20 has AES67 as its network audio protocol and does not support Dante. If the installation has to run over Dante, the SkySound Pro Audio range offers the CM50 microphone array with the AP08 processor.
The Yealink CM20 range is given by two figures according to speech intelligibility, a radius of 3.2 m at STIPA 0.78 and a radius of 4.5 m at STIPA 0.72. Both apply at a reverberation time of RT60 408 ms at 1 kHz, background noise of 40 dBA and a mounting height of 2.8 m. The CMKit-121 kit, that is a CM20, two CS10 speakers and an RCH40 E2 switch, covers a 5 × 8 m room, and two kits 6 × 10 m.
The Yealink CM20 is powered over PoE to IEEE 802.3af class 3 and draws 5.7 W typically, 9 W rated. Note that the CS10 ceiling speaker is more demanding, it needs PoE+ to 802.3at class 4 and draws 24 W rated.
The Yealink CM20 is wired in a star; daisy-chaining is not supported. At most two microphones and two speakers connect directly, and at most four and four per host when extended through a switch. The power budget decides as well, at 90 W on the RCH40 E2 switch and 80 W on the AVHub. EEE is to be switched off on the switch.
The Yealink CM20 comes with a white cover, a dust cover, an assembly fixing bracket, a bracing bridge with screws, a deployment instruction template and a quick start guide. The black cover is optional; it is not part of the package and is ordered separately.
What decides certification is the whole room system, that is the host and the control device, not the ceiling microphone on its own. For the specific system we confirm the certification status.
