Key features

  • Two cameras with 8MP sensors, one wide-angle and one telephoto

  • A ten times hybrid zoom, that is 3.5× optical and 3× digital

  • Four times electronic pan and tilt, e-PTZ, on the wide-angle camera

  • An array of eight MEMS microphones with pickup up to 6 metres

  • Two built-in speakers, maximum volume 93 dB

  • Two HDMI outputs with CEC support, that is two displays

  • Native Microsoft Teams and Zoom mode

  • Power adapter, cabling and mounting bracket in the box

Description

One device instead of a system

The MeetingBar A30 brings cameras, microphones, speakers and the compute unit together in one 700 mm body. The room therefore gains no separate PC, no separate camera and no table microphones, which shortens the installation and reduces the number of places where something can come unplugged. The box holds the power adapter, an ethernet and an HDMI cable and a mounting bracket with accessories.

The only model in the range with an optical part to the zoom

The wide-angle camera has a field of view of 120 degrees diagonally and 112 degrees horizontally and covers the whole room; the telephoto camera has 90 degrees diagonally and brings the speaker closer. The zoom is hybrid and ten times, made up of 3.5× optical and 3× digital. The optical part means detail is not lost to a crop when zooming in, and in the whole MeetingBar A range only this model offers it. This is not a mechanical PTZ head; movement of the wide-angle camera is electronic.

A native meeting room system for Teams and Zoom

In its default deployment the A30 is a standalone meeting room system with its own room account. The meeting starts from the calendar on the device itself, with no laptop. For Microsoft Teams this is the Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android variant, where the A30 is on Microsoft's certified device list for a 4.5 × 6 m medium room, with firmware on Android 13 and a certification end date of 15 August 2028, which tells the customer how long the investment will last. For Zoom Rooms the certified system is the one with the CTP18 panel, that is code 1206653; we will confirm the current Zoom certification status with the order. Instead of Teams or Zoom, the device can be configured for General Mode, in which it registers to a SIP registry or an H.323 gatekeeper and calls over SIP and H.323.

Guest BYOD through the VCH51 kit

Guest laptop BYOD in a natively deployed room, that is content sharing plus the room cameras and audio for the laptop, runs on the A30 over a cable through the VCH51 kit 1303106. The PA20 and WPP30 pods share content wirelessly. A ready-made system with a compute unit and Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows certification is offered in the range as the MVC S50 with the A50 video bar.

Strengths and limits

Strengths

  • The only model in the range with an optical part to the zoom, 3.5× optical and 3× digital

  • Two HDMI outputs, so two displays without another box

  • Voice pickup up to 6 metres, enough for the usual table in a medium meeting room

  • The power adapter, the ethernet and HDMI cables and the bracket are in the box

Limits and what to tell the customer

  • The control method is fixed by the order code. The VCR11 remote and the CTP18 touch panel do not come in one box, see the variants table above.

  • There is no HDMI input on the body of the device. Wired content sharing from a laptop needs the VCH51 kit, that is another line in the quote. This is the most commonly overlooked item on the A30.

  • The device has Bluetooth 4.2 and dual band Wi-Fi without Wi-Fi 6 support. Newer models in the range have Wi-Fi 6.

  • The VCH51 Pro hub 1303229 does not work with the A30. For wired sharing and BYOD order the VCH51 kit 1303106.

  • Some features depend on the platform licence, not on the device. Two displays on Microsoft Teams Rooms need the Pro licence, see the atlantis note.

  • The maximum volume is 93 dB.

  • SIP and H.323 work only in General Mode, not in native Teams or Zoom mode. If the room is to call over SIP or H.323, we will confirm the minimum firmware version and any licence for the specific project.

⚑ atlantis note

Which code to order

The control method decides. 1206652 includes the VCR11 remote, 1206653 includes the eight-inch CTP18 touch panel. We recommend the panel where anyone should be able to start a meeting from the table without hunting for a remote, that is in busy meeting rooms and at customers where remotes go missing.

Wired content sharing belongs in the quote

The A30 has no HDMI input on its body; it arrives with the VCH51 kit, code 1303106 in our range. If the customer expects a laptop to connect by cable at the table, the kit belongs in the system from the start. Adding it after installation means a second visit and more cabling in the table.

A zoom that really brings people closer

The A30 is the only model in the MeetingBar A range with an optical part to the zoom. For a room where the speaker sits far from the device and the customer dislikes a soft image when zoomed in, that argues better than the higher sensor resolution of the A40 and A50.

The platform licence decides the features

Some features of a meeting room system are set not by the hardware but by the licence of the communication platform. On Microsoft Teams Rooms a typical example is dual screen support, which belongs to the paid Pro licence, while the free Basic licence lacks it and is also capped at 25 licences per organisation. The feature comparison is on Microsoft's website. Include the licence in the quote from the start; adding it afterwards is awkward.

The weight differs between the codes

The net weight is 4.75 kg for the A30-010 and 7.05 kg for the A30-020. On plasterboard or a partition wall that is no detail, so size the fixings for the code actually ordered.

Which room it suits

Place in the portfolio

an all-in-one video bar room system with native Microsoft Teams and Zoom support

Good fit

A medium meeting room with a table up to six metres. A requirement for a room with its own account and meetings started from the calendar. A need for two displays. A room where the speaker sits far away and zooming with an optical part is needed. A Microsoft Teams or Zoom environment.

Verify

Which platform the room should run natively. Whether a remote is enough or a touch panel is needed. Whether content will be shared by cable, which needs the VCH51 kit. How the video bar will be mounted and what weight the fixing has to carry. Whether there is a network socket where the device is to be mounted.

Consider another model

The A10 or A25 for a huddle room and a focus room. The A40 and A50 where the customer requires Android 13, Wi-Fi 6 and higher sensor resolution. A MeetingBoard where the device should replace the display as well and serve as a whiteboard. The MVC S50 system with the A50 video bar or the MVC S40 with the SmartVision 40 where the customer requires Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows.

The "Verify" and "Consider another model" cards come from the experience of the atlantis team.

What to check before ordering and deploying

  1. Platform: which one the room should run natively, Teams or Zoom, and who will create the room account

  2. Control: the VCR11 remote or the CTP18 touch panel, fixed by the order code

  3. Wired content sharing: there is no HDMI input on the body, so count on kit 1303106

  4. Display: how many and at what resolution; the device has two HDMI outputs

  5. Mounting: the bracket with accessories is in the box; for mounting to a TV the code is 330100053001

  6. Fixings: 4.75 kg on the A30-010 and 7.05 kg on the A30-020, check what the wall will carry

  7. Network: a socket where the device is mounted and the network rules for room devices; the A30 has no Wi-Fi 6

  8. Support: PrimeCare or extended warranty, order it with the device

The atlantis team will help with every point. From designing the system and the mounting through configuring the platform and the room account to training the users and handing over documentation. On the A30 we also recommend deciding on the VCH51 kit while the table cabling is still being designed.

Management and services

  • Management follows the platform: in native mode the device is managed from the administration of the platform the room runs.

  • Yealink Management Cloud Service (YMCS): cloud management of Yealink devices, that is bulk firmware updates, status monitoring and alerts. Support and the scope of management differ by model and licence, so check both with us for the specific device and system.

atlantis services for partners

atlantis is a direct importer and distributor, and we deliver projects through a network of specialist partners. The services below are therefore offered to the partner, not to the end customer. The partner sets the scope. On one project we take on the whole delivery, on another we cover just the part the partner currently lacks capacity or specialisation for, and on a third the partner manages alone and uses us only for a consultation.

  • Before the decision: a consultation on choosing the system and a comparison of the suitable options. The recommendation is built on the size and the character of the room, that is light, acoustics, shape, seating layout and furnishing, then on headcount and on how meetings are actually run there. We offer a live demonstration at our premises, which the partner can bring their customer to, and where it is warranted a test installation, that is a proof of concept.

  • Delivery and installation: transport, professional mounting and the work that goes with it, that is cabling, installation material, brackets and room alterations. We handle the installation in full, or support the partner's own team where needed.

  • Network readiness and security: we advise on preparing the network for the demands of two-way real-time video, that is throughput, latency and traffic prioritisation, and on securing the communication.

  • Configuration and integration: setting up the communication platform and the room account, connecting to the network, and advice on linking and integrating third-party software and hardware.

  • Training and documentation: training prepared to match the user's role, that is one thing for room users and another for administrators, plus preparation of both project and user documentation.

  • Service and support after the sale: our certified team in Czech, available to the partner throughout the equipment's life. We handle a warranty claim with the manufacturer on the partner's behalf.

Warranty

The standard warranty on Yealink products is 24 months. On top of it we offer two different things that are easy to confuse.

Extended warranty

AMS

Extends the warranty period, that is how long the customer is entitled to repair or replacement of a faulty unit. The abbreviation stands for Assurance Maintenance Services.

1 to 3 years

Service programme

PrimeCare

Changes how the service is delivered. It covers priority support with escalation during business hours, advance hardware replacement with the unit dispatched the next business day from local European service stock, warranty service aligned with the licence period, the YMCS-Room-Professional package, software updates and access to the Yealink online support centre.

2 to 5 years

Take note

Which one to pick

A customer buys one of them, not both. AMS is enough where a longer warranty is all that is needed, PrimeCare is the choice where room downtime is expensive and the customer needs fast replacement and management. For video products the cap on total warranty is five years, and AMS is bought consecutively, so it must not leave a gap at the end of the existing warranty.

FAQ

What is the difference between codes 1206652 and 1206653?

The Yealink MeetingBar A30 video bar is the same on both. 1206652 includes the VCR11 remote control and has a net weight of 4.75 kg, 1206653 includes the eight-inch CTP18 touch panel and has a net weight of 7.05 kg. Swapping them afterwards means placing another order.

Is the zoom optical?

On the Yealink MeetingBar A30 the zoom is hybrid and ten times, made up of 3.5× optical and 3× digital. It is the only model in the MeetingBar A range with an optical part, so bringing the speaker closer does not rely on a crop of the image alone.

How does a laptop connect to the A30 by cable?

The Yealink MeetingBar A30 has no HDMI input on the body of the device. Wired content sharing arrives with the VCH51 kit, code 1303106 in our range. We recommend including it in the system from the start, because the cabling runs into the table.

Can the device drive two displays?

Yes, the Yealink MeetingBar A30 has two HDMI outputs with CEC support. The typical deployment is one display for participants and a second for shared content.

Can the A30 call over SIP and H.323?

The Yealink MeetingBar A30 calls over SIP and H.323 in General Mode, where it registers to a SIP registry or an H.323 gatekeeper. We will confirm the minimum firmware version and any licence for the specific project.

Does the A30 have Wi-Fi 6?

No, the Yealink MeetingBar A30 has dual band Wi-Fi on 2.4 and 5 GHz and Bluetooth 4.2. In this range Wi-Fi 6 arrives with the A25, A40 and A50.
