Description
Four ways to get a picture onto the display
The presenter picks whatever is at hand. A Yealink presentation pod is paired by plugging it into the USB Type-A port of the system and then shares with the button on the pod. Miracast covers Windows and Android, the connection is confirmed with a PIN code shown on screen. AirPlay covers Mac and iPhone once they join the wireless access point of the system. YeaCast is an application for a computer on the same network, into which the key from the screen is entered.
Up to four pictures side by side
Four sources can be on screen at once. When a fifth one joins, the system announces that no further sharing channel is free. The extended desktop, that is a second monitor as the laptop sees it, is available on Windows and needs Miracast or a presentation pod. In the YeaCast application the presenter picks between a copy of the screen, an extended desktop and sharing a single application window.
Wireless IP BYOD
In BYOD mode the system serves as a peripheral for a meeting run on a laptop in a third party platform. The laptop uses the camera, microphone and speakers of the room while the computer picture goes to the display. This mode needs a paired Yealink presentation pod, the wireless access point switched on and peripherals that follow the UAC and UVC standards. On the computer the audio device is selected as Yealink Room SpeakerPhone.
Strengths and limits
Strengths
Miracast and AirPlay need no installation, the guest uses what the operating system already has
Four sources on screen at once, presenters do not have to take turns
Power over one Ethernet cable with PoE, or a 12 V power adapter
Cast streaming isolated to the local network, WPA, WPA2-PSK and WPA3 encryption, a PIN code against unwanted streams
Remote management and diagnostics through the cloud and on-premise Yealink platforms
A compact 145 × 72.5 × 23.5 mm body fits behind the display or on the desk, Kensington lock
Limits and what to tell the customer
The extended desktop is Windows only and needs Miracast or a Yealink presentation pod.
When Wi-Fi is switched on, Miracast is disabled automatically. Agree the network design with the administrator beforehand.
The presentation pod is sold separately, it is not in the box. Without a pod there is no wireless IP BYOD either.
The platform is chosen in the first-start wizard and moving to another one takes a factory reset of the device.
Neither display nor projector is part of the delivery, the system is only their picture source over HDMI.
The box contents from our price list, that is a power adapter, a 3 m Ethernet cable and a 1.8 m HDMI cable, will be confirmed with the order.
⚑ atlantis note
Where the system belongs
In small and medium meeting rooms and multimedia classrooms that mostly present and do not need an account of their own for video calls. Typically where an HDMI cable is strung across the table today and guests keep wrestling with it.
Power over a single cable
The system takes PoE to IEEE 802.3af, so one network cable behind the display is enough and the 12 V power adapter stays in the box. Where the customer has no PoE in the room, add a PoE switch or injector to the quote.
Choose the platform up front
The first-start wizard asks for the platform and moving to another one means a factory reset. Settle before installation whether the room should run Zoom Rooms or stay with content sharing alone. It saves a service visit.
Add the pod right away
Miracast and AirPlay are enough for guests, but wireless IP BYOD and the extended desktop from the USB Type-A port need a presentation pod, 1303185 or 1303112. Put it in the quote from the start so the customer does not get half a solution.
Which room
Recommended use | wireless content sharing onto the room display |
|---|---|
Room size | small and medium meeting rooms and multimedia classrooms |
Position in the portfolio | standalone presentation and collaboration system |
Placement | behind the display or on the desk, a 145 × 72.5 × 23.5 mm body |
Good fit
A meeting room or classroom that mostly presents and needs no room account. An environment where guests share from a Mac and an iPhone, that is over AirPlay. Meetings that compare material from several people side by side. An installation behind the display where PoE is available.
Check first
Whether the room has PoE, or whether a power adapter and a socket will be needed. How the system joins the customer network, since Miracast is disabled while Wi-Fi is on. How many presentation pods the room should get. Which platform the room should run, as it is chosen in the first-start wizard.
Consider another model
The MeetingBar range where the room should hold its own account and start meetings from the calendar. MeetingBoard where the device should replace the display as well and add a whiteboard. MShare E2 or VCH51 Pro where sharing should stay wired and belongs to an MVC system.
The „Good fit“ box follows the positioning the manufacturer gives this product, the „Check first“ and „Consider another model“ boxes come from the practice of the atlantis team.

What to check before ordering and deployment
Display: the system is the picture source, neither display nor projector is part of the delivery
Power: PoE to IEEE 802.3af, or a 12 V power adapter and a socket behind the display
Network: how it joins the customer network, as Miracast is disabled while Wi-Fi is on
Platform: chosen in the first-start wizard, a change takes a factory reset
Presentation pod: how many the room should get, without a pod there is no IP BYOD
Number of sources: four can be on screen, the fifth is told no channel is free
Security: go through the PIN code, Wi-Fi encryption and stream isolation with the customer administrator
Support: the AMS extended warranty, order it together with the device
The atlantis team helps with every point. From placement and power through network preparation and security to the platform setup, user training and handover documentation. We confirm the delivery contents with the order, so you do not promise the customer items that are not in the box.
Management and services
Management follows the platform: in native mode the device is managed from the administration of the platform the room runs.
Yealink Management Cloud Service (YMCS): cloud management of Yealink devices, that is bulk firmware updates, status monitoring and alerts. Support and the scope of management differ by model and licence, so check both with us for the specific device and system.
atlantis services for partners
atlantis is a direct importer and distributor, and we deliver projects through a network of specialist partners. The services below are therefore offered to the partner, not to the end customer. The partner sets the scope. On one project we take on the whole delivery, on another we cover just the part the partner currently lacks capacity or specialisation for, and on a third the partner manages alone and uses us only for a consultation.
Before the decision: a consultation on choosing the system and a comparison of the suitable options. The recommendation is built on the size and the character of the room, that is light, acoustics, shape, seating layout and furnishing, then on headcount and on how meetings are actually run there. We offer a live demonstration at our premises, which the partner can bring their customer to, and where it is warranted a test installation, that is a proof of concept.
Delivery and installation: transport, professional mounting and the work that goes with it, that is cabling, installation material, brackets and room alterations. We handle the installation in full, or support the partner's own team where needed.
Network readiness and security: we advise on preparing the network for the demands of two-way real-time video, that is throughput, latency and traffic prioritisation, and on securing the communication.
Configuration and integration: setting up the communication platform and the room account, connecting to the network, and advice on linking and integrating third-party software and hardware.
Training and documentation: training prepared to match the user's role, that is one thing for room users and another for administrators, plus preparation of both project and user documentation.
Service and support after the sale: our certified team in Czech, available to the partner throughout the equipment's life. We handle a warranty claim with the manufacturer on the partner's behalf.
Warranty
The standard warranty on Yealink products is 24 months. On top of it we offer two different things that are easy to confuse.
Extended warranty
AMS
Extends the warranty period, that is how long the customer is entitled to repair or replacement of a faulty unit. The abbreviation stands for Assurance Maintenance Services.
1 to 3 years
Service programme
PrimeCare
Changes how the service is delivered. It covers priority support with escalation during business hours, advance hardware replacement with the unit dispatched the next business day from local European service stock, warranty service aligned with the licence period, the YMCS-Room-Professional package, software updates and access to the Yealink online support centre.
2 to 5 years
Take note
Which one to pick
A customer buys one of them, not both. AMS is enough where a longer warranty is all that is needed, PrimeCare is the choice where room downtime is expensive and the customer needs fast replacement and management. For video products the cap on total warranty is five years, and AMS is bought consecutively, so it must not leave a gap at the end of the existing warranty.

Order codes. AMS for the RoomCast E2 510102001653 for one year, 510102001708 for two years and 510102001650 for three years. PrimeCare is not ordered for a presentation system; the programme is tied to the room size class of the MVC, MeetingBar, MeetingBoard and BYOD systems.
FAQ
Does the RoomCast E2 need a room system, or does it run alone?
The Yealink RoomCast E2 is a standalone presentation and collaboration system. It connects to the room display with an HDMI cable and runs content sharing by itself. For a room that should hold its own account and start meetings from the calendar, the MeetingBar or MeetingBoard range is the answer.
How does a laptop picture reach the display?
In four ways. Through a Yealink presentation pod paired by plugging it into the USB Type-A port of the system, through Miracast from Windows and Android confirmed with a PIN code, through AirPlay from a Mac and an iPhone, and through the YeaCast application on a computer on the same network, into which the key from the screen is entered.
How many people can share at once?
Four sources can be on screen at once. When a fifth one joins, the system announces that no further sharing channel is free. With up to four pieces of material, presenters do not have to take turns.
How is the system powered?
Either by power over the network cable to IEEE 802.3af, that is from a PoE switch or injector, or by a 12 V power adapter. For an installation behind the display PoE is the practical choice, because only one cable runs there.
Does the system do BYOD as well?
Yes, in wireless IP BYOD mode. The laptop uses the camera, microphone and speakers of the room for a meeting in a third party platform while the computer picture goes to the display. The mode needs a paired Yealink presentation pod, the wireless access point switched on and peripherals that follow the UAC and UVC standards. On the computer the audio device is selected as Yealink Room SpeakerPhone.
What is in the box?
For the Yealink RoomCast E2 our price list counts on a power adapter, a 3 m Ethernet cable and a 1.8 m HDMI cable. We confirm the delivery contents for the specific order. Presentation pod 1303185 or 1303112 is not in the box and is ordered separately.
