What it is for
The RCH240 is the backbone switch for the AV network in larger installations where the 8 ports or 130 W of the smaller RCH80 are not enough. L2+ web management offers VLAN, QoS, access control, DHCP and 802.1X authentication, and IGMP Snooping with Fast Leave keeps AVoIP and networked audio multicast traffic under control.
The switch has a built-in power supply and integrated cooling fans, and the SFP fibre uplinks make it easier to connect to other switches or a comms room.
