The BH7X sets ship with either the USB-A or the USB-C version of the dongle. A separate unit is a replacement, or a dongle for a second workplace.

What it is for

The dongle carries audio and call control between the headset and a PC or a supported desk phone. A headset supplied with a dongle is paired at the factory, so you plug the dongle in and switch the headset on in pairing mode, and the headset indicator glows green for 2 seconds.

One dongle holds a pairing with one headset. To move it to another headset, open Yealink USB Connect, go to Pair Management, disconnect the current device, then search for the new one and pair it.

Pick the connector to match the workplace

The BT51-C has a USB-C connector and the BT51-A a USB-A connector. Order the replacement to match the port used at that workplace.

An older headset with a new dongle

Headsets whose serial number year code contains D, E or F may fail to pair with a newer dongle. For those workplaces it is safer to keep the dongle that came with the headset.

Order against the device's order code

Parts are not interchangeable between ranges even where they look alike. Send us the device's order code and we will find the right part.
