Description
One range, two different ways to connect
The E2 models, that is the MP52, MP54, MP56 and MP58-WH, are full networked phones: they have Gigabit Ethernet and are powered over the network to IEEE 802.3af, class 3. The MP45 is not part of the E2 range, it is a USB phone for a computer. It has no Ethernet, no PoE and no SIP support. The customer therefore first chooses between a phone that hangs off the network and a phone that hangs off a computer.
The display and the handset decide the model
Within the E2 range the display grows and the equipment with it. The MP52 E2 has 2.4 inches without touch and one USB-A port. The MP54 E2 adds a four-inch touch screen, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi. The MP56 E2 has a seven-inch touch screen, a magnetic handset and a USB-C port alongside the USB-A. The MP58-WH E2 has a display tiltable through 48 degrees, the BTH58 wireless handset and support for up to three EXP50 expansion modules for users with long contact lists.
Power belongs in the quotation
The power adapter is not in the box on any of the five models, on all of them it is optional. On the E2 range that usually does not matter, because the phone is powered by PoE, but where there is no PoE socket the adapter has to be planned in advance. The MP45 is powered from the computer's USB port, so it needs no separate power.
Strengths and limits
Strengths
PoE power across the E2 range, a single cable to the phone
A native Microsoft Teams user interface, the user is not hunting for an application on the computer
The MP58-WH E2 with the BTH58 wireless handset and up to three EXP50 modules
An RJ9 headset port on the MP45, MP56 E2 and MP58-WH E2
Limits and what to tell the customer
The power adapter is not in the box on any model, on all of them it is optional. Without a PoE socket an E2 phone will not start.
The MP range has no SIP variant. An environment with a classic telephone system calls for the T5 ranges. The MP45 has no SIP support at all.
The USB-C port on the MP56 E2 and MP58-WH E2 carries the note "coming soon" for device mode. Do not put it in the customer's specification as a finished feature.
Where the customer needs Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, choose the MP54 E2 or higher.
We will confirm certification across the MP range at the time of order; the MP45 is compatible with Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business.
The range also exists as a Zoom Edition. The edition is fixed by the order code, and we confirm which code belongs to which edition before ordering.
⚑ atlantis note
Which model to offer
The user's role decides. The MP52 E2 where the phone only rings and dials. The MP54 E2 as an ordinary desk phone with touch, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The MP56 E2 where the user works with the calendar on the phone itself. The MP58-WH E2 for assistants and receptions, because of the wireless handset and the EXP50 modules. The MP45 where the customer does not want another device on the network and a phone beside the computer is enough.
Settle the power in the quotation
The adapter is not in the box on any model. On the E2 range, check that the desk has a PoE socket, otherwise order the adapter with the phone. On the MP52 E2 and MP56 E2 the external adapter has AC 100 to 240 V input and DC 5 V/2 A output.
Order the headset separately
The phones have an RJ9 port, but no headset is in the box. For contact centres and users with a high share of calls, offer one with the phone so the workstation is not commissioned twice.
Who it suits
Manufacturer positioning | desk phones with a native Microsoft Teams user interface, the Teams edition |
|---|---|
The E2 range | networked phones with Gigabit Ethernet and PoE power |
The MP45 | a USB phone for a computer, without Ethernet and without PoE |
Good fit
A Microsoft Teams environment where the user wants a phone on the desk and not only a headset. Receptions, assistants, private offices and workplaces where people are on calls all day. The MP45 where the customer does not want another device on the network.
Verify
Whether the desk has a PoE socket, because of the power. What display size the user needs. Whether the customer requires Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, because of the model. Whether a wireless handset or an expansion module is needed. Whether the environment is Teams or Zoom, because of the edition.
Consider another model
The T5 ranges where the customer needs SIP and a classic telephone system. A USB or Bluetooth headset where the user does not want a phone on the desk. The CP965 for a meeting room where several people are on the call.
The "Verify" and "Consider another model" cards come from the experience of the atlantis team.

Display size: from 2.4 inches without touch on the MP52 E2 to 7 inches on the MP56 E2 and MP58-WH E2

Management and services
Yealink USB Connect: the manufacturer's tool for managing Yealink USB devices, that is headsets, speakerphones and webcams. It handles firmware updates, feature settings and collecting diagnostic data.
atlantis services for partners
atlantis is a direct importer and distributor, and we supply through a network of specialist partners. The services below are therefore offered to the partner, not to the end customer. The partner sets the scope, according to their own capacity and skills, from a consultation alone to taking on the whole deployment.
Before the decision: a consultation on the model and the order code and a comparison of the suitable variants. We base the recommendation on the user's role, because a contact centre agent, a manager on the move and a shared workstation each need a different headset. We arrange a sample to try so the customer can check comfort, audio and range before ordering for a whole team.
Deployment and configuration: bulk settings and management of the headsets, connection to the communication environment, and advice on linking third-party software and hardware.
Training and documentation: training prepared to match the user's role, plus preparation of the user documentation.
Service and support after the sale: our certified team in Czech, available to the partner throughout the equipment's life. We handle a warranty claim with the manufacturer on the partner's behalf.
Warranty
The standard warranty on Yealink products is 24 months.
FAQ
Is a power adapter in the box?
The Yealink MP range has no power adapter in the box on any of the five models; on all of them it is optional. The E2 models are powered over Ethernet to IEEE 802.3af, class 3, so the desk needs a PoE socket. The MP45 is powered from the computer's USB port.
Does the MP range come in a SIP version?
The Yealink MP range has a native Microsoft Teams user interface and has no SIP variant. Its SIP counterparts are the T5 ranges. The whole MP range does also exist as a Zoom Edition, with the edition fixed by the order code.
How does the MP45 differ from the rest of the range?
The Yealink MP45 is a USB phone for a computer; it has no Ethernet, no PoE and no SIP support. It is powered from USB, has a four-inch touch screen, an RJ9 port and busylight support, though the busylight is optional and not in the box.
Which model has a wireless handset?
The Yealink MP58-WH E2 ships with the BTH58 wireless handset and also supports hearing aid compatibility and a magnetic handset. It is at the same time the only model in the range supporting up to three EXP50 expansion modules.
Do all models have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi?
The Yealink MP54 E2, MP56 E2 and MP58-WH E2 have Bluetooth 5.2 and dual band Wi-Fi at 2.4 and 5 GHz. Where the customer requires Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, choose the MP54 E2 or a higher model.
What is the USB-C port on the MP56 E2 and MP58-WH E2 for?
The Yealink MP56 E2 has one USB-A port and one USB-C, the MP58-WH E2 has two USB-A ports and one USB-C. Device mode on the Type-C port carries the note "coming soon", so do not offer that function as finished yet.
