BYOD-BOX
Yealink BYOD-BOX — a cabled hub that connects a laptop to the meeting room's picture and USB peripherals with a single USB-C cable. It suits rooms where the user runs the meeting from their own laptop and the room has no room system of its own.
one USB-C cable to the laptop
1× HDMI port
2× USB 3.0 port
1.2 m USB-C cable in the box
USB-C to USB-A adapter in the box
fixed with hook-and-loop strips
Ports on the device: 1× HDMI, 2× USB 3.0 and 1× type C
It connects to the laptop with the included USB type C cable, 1.2 m long
A type C to type A adapter is included, so a laptop without a USB-C port connects too
A power adapter is included, which Yealink calls the BYOD-BOX PD Power Adapter
Two hook-and-loop strips are included for fixing the device under a table top or to a wall
No HDMI cable is included; we recommend a 1.8 m cable with a magnetic ring
Confirmed compatibility with the Yealink UVC30 Room and CP900
The BYOD-BOX answers the case where a room has a display on the wall and a camera and audio in it, but no compute unit and no account of its own. The user arrives with a laptop, plugs in one USB-C cable and has the room's picture and its USB peripherals on it. The meeting then runs in whatever platform the user has on their computer.
The display connects to the device with an HDMI cable and the peripherals go into the USB ports, so all that remains on the table is the included 1.2 m USB type C cable. That is the part the user sees and handles. The included type C to type A adapter also covers laptops that have no USB-C port.
The device is fixed with the included hook-and-loop strips, typically under the table top or behind the display, so nothing has to be drilled. The BYOD-BOX is not tied to any platform; it is a plug-and-play way to connect a laptop in a room.
One cable on the table, so the user does not have to work out what goes where
The USB-A adapter is in the box, so older laptops are covered too
Hook-and-loop fixing, an installation with no drilling and no changes to the furniture
A plug-and-play solution, that is plug in and use
No HDMI cable is included. We recommend a 1.8 m cable with a magnetic ring. Put it in the quote, or the installation cannot be finished.
The included USB-C cable is 1.2 m, not the 1.5 m in our price list. Set the distance from the mounting point to the place on the table accordingly.
The included adapter is labelled only as a PD Power Adapter. Laptop charging does not follow from that, so keep it out of the quote.
Confirmed compatibility with Yealink devices covers the UVC30 Room and the CP900.
The HDMI cable belongs in the quote
It is not in the box. We recommend a 1.8 m cable with a magnetic ring, that is with a ferrite against interference. Put it in the quote from the start; this is the most common reason an installation cannot be finished on the first visit.
Do not promise laptop charging
Our price list mentions laptop charging on the BYOD-BOX. It is in fact a function of the VCH51 Pro hub. If the customer wants the laptop charged at the same time, quote the VCH51 Pro hub, where powering the laptop is a confirmed function, and do not present it as a BYOD-BOX feature.
Plan around 1.2 metres
The cable to the laptop is 1.2 m. Choose the device's mounting point accordingly. If the cable end has to reach a seat at the far end of the table, solve it with an under-table run or another approach; extending a USB-C cable is not without risk to signal quality.
A room with a room system needs a different product
The BYOD-BOX is for a room without a room system of its own. If the room has an MVC system, the MVC-BYOD-Extender belongs there, and if the point is mainly sharing content to a video bar, the VCH51 Pro1303229 is the right answer.

Place in the portfolio | a passive cabled hub, not tied to any platform |
A room with no room system of its own, where the user runs the meeting from their laptop. A smaller meeting room with a display, a camera and a speakerphone. An environment where several communication platforms alternate and the room should not be tied to any one of them.
Where the device will be fixed and how far that is from the place on the table, as the laptop cable is 1.2 m. Which HDMI cable will be needed, since none is included. What resolution the display has. Which USB peripherals will go into the hub. Whether the customer expects the laptop to charge at the same time.
The MVC-BYOD-Extender where the room has an MVC system. The VCH51 Pro hub where the point is mainly sharing content to a video bar and powering the laptop. An MVC system or a video bar where the room should have its own account and start meetings from the calendar.
The "Verify" and "Consider another model" cards come from the experience of the atlantis team.
Recommended
The user's laptop runs the meeting. One cable hands it the picture on the display and the room's USB peripherals, that is the camera and the audio.

HDMI cable: not in the box; we recommend 1.8 m with a magnetic ring
Distance on the table: the included laptop cable is 1.2 m, so choose the mounting point accordingly
Display: what resolution it has
Peripherals: which of the room's USB devices will be connected; two USB 3.0 ports are available
Users' laptops: whether they have a USB-C port; the USB-A adapter is in the box
Charging: if the customer expects the laptop to charge, explain that we do not promise it on this product
Fixing: where the device will go; two hook-and-loop strips are included, so no drilling is needed
Support: the AMS extended warranty or PrimeCare for the BYOD Room class, order it with the device
The atlantis team will help with every point. From designing the system and the mounting through configuring the platform and the room account to training the users and handing over documentation.
Management follows the platform: in native mode the device is managed from the administration of the platform the room runs.
Yealink Management Cloud Service (YMCS): cloud management of Yealink devices, that is bulk firmware updates, status monitoring and alerts. Support and the scope of management differ by model and licence, so check both with us for the specific device and system.
atlantis is a direct importer and distributor, and we deliver projects through a network of specialist partners. The services below are therefore offered to the partner, not to the end customer. The partner sets the scope. On one project we take on the whole delivery, on another we cover just the part the partner currently lacks capacity or specialisation for, and on a third the partner manages alone and uses us only for a consultation.
Before the decision: a consultation on choosing the system and a comparison of the suitable options. The recommendation is built on the size and the character of the room, that is light, acoustics, shape, seating layout and furnishing, then on headcount and on how meetings are actually run there. We offer a live demonstration at our premises, which the partner can bring their customer to, and where it is warranted a test installation, that is a proof of concept.
Delivery and installation: transport, professional mounting and the work that goes with it, that is cabling, installation material, brackets and room alterations. We handle the installation in full, or support the partner's own team where needed.
Network readiness and security: we advise on preparing the network for the demands of two-way real-time video, that is throughput, latency and traffic prioritisation, and on securing the communication.
Configuration and integration: setting up the communication platform and the room account, connecting to the network, and advice on linking and integrating third-party software and hardware.
Training and documentation: training prepared to match the user's role, that is one thing for room users and another for administrators, plus preparation of both project and user documentation.
Service and support after the sale: our certified team in Czech, available to the partner throughout the equipment's life. We handle a warranty claim with the manufacturer on the partner's behalf.
The standard warranty on Yealink products is 24 months. On top of it we offer two different things that are easy to confuse.
Extended warranty
Extends the warranty period, that is how long the customer is entitled to repair or replacement of a faulty unit. The abbreviation stands for Assurance Maintenance Services.
1 to 3 years
Service programme
Changes how the service is delivered. It covers priority support with escalation during business hours, advance hardware replacement with the unit dispatched the next business day from local European service stock, warranty service aligned with the licence period, the YMCS-Room-Professional package, software updates and access to the Yealink online support centre.
2 to 5 years
Take note
A customer buys one of them, not both. AMS is enough where a longer warranty is all that is needed, PrimeCare is the choice where room downtime is expensive and the customer needs fast replacement and management. For video products the cap on total warranty is five years, and AMS is bought consecutively, so it must not leave a gap at the end of the existing warranty.

Order codes. AMS for the BYOD-BOX 510102001095 to 510102001097 for one to three years. PrimeCare for the BYOD Room size class 510102000845 to 510102000848 for two to five years, ordered for the room rather than for a single device.
The Yealink BYOD-BOX does not include an HDMI cable. A stable 1.8 m cable with a magnetic ring is recommended. Put it in the quote separately, as the display cannot be connected without it.
The Yealink BYOD-BOX includes a power adapter labelled a PD Power Adapter, but laptop charging does not follow from that. Do not promise the customer this function. If charging is a requirement, the VCH51 Pro hub 1303229 is the right answer.
The Yealink BYOD-BOX includes a USB type C cable 1.2 m long. Our price list says 1.5 m; it is in fact 1.2 m. Choose the device's mounting point against that figure.
Yes. The Yealink BYOD-BOX includes a type C to type A adapter, so a laptop with no USB-C port connects too. The adapter is part of the delivery.
The Yealink BYOD-BOX has confirmed compatibility with the UVC30 Room and the CP900. We will get the list of further compatible devices from the manufacturer. We will confirm compatibility with the customer's specific camera or speakerphone for you.
The Yealink BYOD-BOX is a cabled hub and is not tied to any platform. It is a plug-and-play way to connect a laptop in a room. The meeting runs in whatever platform the user has on their laptop.
