Description
One device instead of a system
The MeetingBar A40 brings cameras, microphones, speakers and the compute unit together in one body 650 mm wide and 5.54 kg in weight. The room therefore gains no separate PC, no separate camera and no table microphones. The device runs Android 13 and the box holds both a wall mount and a TV-Clip Mount, that is both common mounting options.
Two 48MP lenses
The system has two lenses with 48MP sensors and a field of view of 120 degrees diagonally, 110 degrees horizontally and 54 degrees vertically. The high sensor resolution leaves room for the six times digital zoom without detail draining away as quickly as it does on lower resolution sensors. The output is 4K at 30 frames per second or 1080p at 60 frames. This is not a mechanical PTZ head; the movement is electronic.
A native meeting room system for Teams and Zoom
In its default deployment the A40 is a standalone meeting room system with its own room account. The meeting starts from the calendar on the device itself, with no laptop. For Microsoft Teams this is the Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android variant, where the A40 is on Microsoft's certified device list for a 4.5 × 6 m medium room; for Zoom it is Zoom Rooms, certified in the system with the CTP25 panel, that is code 1206676. We will confirm the validity of the Zoom certification with the order. Instead of Teams or Zoom, the device can be configured for General Mode and call over SIP and H.323; content sharing in that mode runs up to 4K at 15 frames per second.
The system is built on Android 13 with the MDEP platform, Microsoft's Android platform for certified Teams devices. It brings verified boot, hardware-protected keys and device attestation, keeps applications separate from the privileged parts of the system, manages system and firmware updates centrally, and the device is managed through Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID. Microsoft's Teams Rooms on Android certified device list gives the A40 a certification end date of 15 August 2028, which tells the customer how long the investment will last.
Or as a USB peripheral for a computer
The second option is to run the A40 as a peripheral of a connected computer. The video bar then serves as camera, microphone and speaker and handles any platform that computer can run. This is not the same as BYOD in a natively deployed room; it is a different way of running the whole room. A ready-made system with a compute unit and Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows certification is offered in the range as the MVC S50 with the A50 video bar. The MVC S40 system is built on the SmartVision 40 camera, not on the A40.
Strengths and limits
Strengths
48MP sensors, so there is room to zoom digitally without detail draining away quickly
Two HDMI outputs, so two displays without another box
Two 10 W speakers, the strongest audio in the range after the A50
SIP and H.323 in General Mode
The box holds a wall mount, a TV-Clip Mount and two HDMI cables
Limits and what to tell the customer
The control method is fixed by the order code. The VCR11 remote and the CTP25 touch panel do not come in one box, see the variants table above.
The device has no HDMI input. Wired content sharing runs over USB, not over HDMI.
The zoom is digital, six times. For a large hall with a long distance to the speaker, a solution with optical zoom is the right answer.
Voice pickup is up to 6 metres, quality pickup up to 4 metres. For a longer table add up to two expansion microphones or two CM20 ceiling microphones; for a considerably longer room the A50 with 10 metre pickup is the right answer.
Some features depend on the platform licence, not on the device. Two displays on Microsoft Teams Rooms need the Pro licence, see the atlantis note.
⚑ atlantis note
Which code to order
The control method decides. 1206675 includes the VCR11 remote, 1206676 includes the CTP25 touch panel. We recommend the panel where anyone should be able to start a meeting from the table without hunting for a remote, that is in busy meeting rooms and at customers where remotes go missing.
Mounting is in the box, but not every kind
The box holds a wall mount and a TV-Clip Mount for the top edge of a display. For a VESA fitting above or below the TV the code is 3311118, and for standing on a table it is 3311067. Settle the mounting method with the customer before the order goes in; it is the most common reason an installation cannot be finished on the first visit.
BYOD straight from the panel
On the system with the CTP25 touch panel, that is code 1206676, BYOD is available straight from the panel over a single USB-C cable, with no further accessories. The laptop gets 4K content sharing, the room cameras and audio, and charges at the same time. On code 1206675 the laptop connects over a USB-C cable straight into the video bar, with a limited cable length, or through hub 1303229 (VCH51 Pro). If the customer expects guest laptops, that is the main reason to go straight for 1206676.
The platform licence decides the features
Some features of a meeting room system are set not by the hardware but by the licence of the communication platform. On Microsoft Teams Rooms a typical example is dual screen support, which belongs to the paid Pro licence, while the free Basic licence lacks it and is also capped at 25 licences per organisation. The feature comparison is on Microsoft's website. Include the licence in the quote from the start; adding it afterwards is awkward.
SIP and H.323 are a selling point
Alongside the A25, the A40 is the model in the range where SIP and H.323 are a firm part of the specification. For a customer with their own video infrastructure or a requirement to call outside Teams and Zoom, that is a strong argument.
Which room it suits
Recommended use | a premium small to medium room, "premium small-to-medium rooms" |
|---|---|
Voice pickup | up to 6 metres, quality pickup up to 4 metres |
Place in the portfolio | an all-in-one video bar room system with native Microsoft Teams and Zoom support |
Good fit
A small or medium meeting room with demands on image and audio. A requirement for a room with its own account. A need for two displays. A Microsoft Teams or Zoom environment. A customer who needs calling over SIP or H.323 alongside the native platform.
Verify
Which platform the room should run natively. Whether a remote is enough or a touch panel is needed. How the video bar will be mounted, that is wall, top edge of the display, VESA or table. Whether content will be shared by cable, as the device has no HDMI input.
Consider another model
The A10 or A25 for a huddle room and a focus room. The A30 where the customer wants an optical part to the zoom. The A50 for a longer room, with pickup up to 10 metres. A MeetingBoard where the device should replace the display as well. The MVC S50 system with the A50 video bar or the MVC S40 with the SmartVision 40 where the customer requires Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows.
The "Verify" and "Consider another model" cards come from the experience of the atlantis team.
Platforms and modes
Recommended
Native system
The room has its own account and the meeting starts from the calendar on the device itself. Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android; for Zoom Rooms the system with the CTP25 panel. Instead of either, General Mode with SIP and H.323 can be configured; we will confirm the minimum firmware for the specific project.

Zoom
General Mode
PC peripheral
USB mode
With a connected computer the video bar acts as its camera, microphone and speaker and serves any platform the computer can run. This is a different way of running the whole room, not BYOD. The device has no HDMI input, so the connection runs over USB.

any platform on the computer
Guest laptop
BYOD in a native room
A natively deployed room can also take a guest laptop. On code 1206676 one USB-C cable from the CTP25 panel is enough, on 1206675 a USB-C cable into the video bar or hub 1303229. Wirelessly through the PA20 or WPP30 pod.

What to check before ordering and deploying
Power: a socket where the device is mounted; the adapter is in the box and we will confirm its specification with the order
Platform: which one the room should run natively, Teams or Zoom, and who will create the room account
Control: the VCR11 remote or the CTP25 touch panel, fixed by the order code
Mounting: wall and top edge of the display are in the box, VESA
3311118and table3311067come separatelyDisplay: how many and at what resolution; the device has two HDMI outputs
Content sharing: the device has no HDMI input, so wired sharing runs over USB
Room size: voice pickup is up to 6 metres, so consider the A50 for a longer table
Support: PrimeCare or extended warranty, order it with the device
The atlantis team will help with every point. From designing the system and the mounting through configuring the platform and the room account to training the users and handing over documentation. On the A40 we will also help set up General Mode if the room is to call over SIP or H.323.
Management and services
Management follows the platform: in native mode the device is managed from the administration of the platform the room runs.
Yealink Management Cloud Service (YMCS): cloud management of Yealink devices, that is bulk firmware updates, status monitoring and alerts. Support and the scope of management differ by model and licence, so check both with us for the specific device and system.
atlantis services for partners
atlantis is a direct importer and distributor, and we deliver projects through a network of specialist partners. The services below are therefore offered to the partner, not to the end customer. The partner sets the scope. On one project we take on the whole delivery, on another we cover just the part the partner currently lacks capacity or specialisation for, and on a third the partner manages alone and uses us only for a consultation.
Before the decision: a consultation on choosing the system and a comparison of the suitable options. The recommendation is built on the size and the character of the room, that is light, acoustics, shape, seating layout and furnishing, then on headcount and on how meetings are actually run there. We offer a live demonstration at our premises, which the partner can bring their customer to, and where it is warranted a test installation, that is a proof of concept.
Delivery and installation: transport, professional mounting and the work that goes with it, that is cabling, installation material, brackets and room alterations. We handle the installation in full, or support the partner's own team where needed.
Network readiness and security: we advise on preparing the network for the demands of two-way real-time video, that is throughput, latency and traffic prioritisation, and on securing the communication.
Configuration and integration: setting up the communication platform and the room account, connecting to the network, and advice on linking and integrating third-party software and hardware.
Training and documentation: training prepared to match the user's role, that is one thing for room users and another for administrators, plus preparation of both project and user documentation.
Service and support after the sale: our certified team in Czech, available to the partner throughout the equipment's life. We handle a warranty claim with the manufacturer on the partner's behalf.
Warranty
The standard warranty on Yealink products is 24 months. On top of it we offer two different things that are easy to confuse.
Extended warranty
AMS
Extends the warranty period, that is how long the customer is entitled to repair or replacement of a faulty unit. The abbreviation stands for Assurance Maintenance Services.
1 to 3 years
Service programme
PrimeCare
Changes how the service is delivered. It covers priority support with escalation during business hours, advance hardware replacement with the unit dispatched the next business day from local European service stock, warranty service aligned with the licence period, the YMCS-Room-Professional package, software updates and access to the Yealink online support centre.
2 to 5 years
Take note
Which one to pick
A customer buys one of them, not both. AMS is enough where a longer warranty is all that is needed, PrimeCare is the choice where room downtime is expensive and the customer needs fast replacement and management. For video products the cap on total warranty is five years, and AMS is bought consecutively, so it must not leave a gap at the end of the existing warranty.

PrimeCare for video bars is ordered by room size class, Meetingbar Small Room 510102000867 to 510102000870 and Meetingbar Medium Room 510102000871 to 510102000874, each for two to five years. We have no manufacturer documentation placing the A40 in a class, so we will confirm it with the order.
FAQ
Is a power adapter in the box?
Yes, the Yealink MeetingBar A40 box holds a power adapter, along with two HDMI cables, a network cable, a TV-Clip Mount, a wall mount and a cable cover. We will confirm the adapter's specification with the order.
What is the difference between codes 1206675 and 1206676?
The Yealink MeetingBar A40 video bar is the same on both. 1206675 includes the VCR11 remote control, 1206676 includes the CTP25 touch panel. Swapping them afterwards means placing another order.
Can the A40 call over SIP and H.323?
Yes. The Yealink MeetingBar A40 calls over SIP and H.323 in General Mode, where it registers to a SIP registry or an H.323 gatekeeper. We will confirm the minimum firmware version and any licence for the specific project.
Is the zoom optical?
No, on the Yealink MeetingBar A40 the zoom is digital and six times. The sensors are 48MP, so there is resolution to spare when zooming in, yet for a large hall with a long distance to the speaker a solution with optical zoom is the right answer, in this range the A30 with its hybrid zoom.
Is a mount included?
Yes, the Yealink MeetingBar A40 box holds a wall mount and a TV-Clip Mount for the top edge of a display. The VESA mount for fitting above and below a TV has code 3311118 and the tabletop mount code 3311067; neither is part of the package.
Can the device drive two displays?
Yes, the Yealink MeetingBar A40 has two HDMI outputs. The typical deployment is one display for participants and a second for shared content. The device has no HDMI input, so wired content sharing runs over USB.
