Key features

  • Three different mounting principles, a free-standing column, a bracket on VESA and an interface piece on a screen mount

  • Universal video bar clamping on FARGO, the documented brands on VISIOPLAY cover POLY, YEALINK, YAMAHA, CRESTRON, LOGITECH, AVER, NUREVA, JABRA and BOSE

  • FARGO stands free, it is fixed neither to the wall nor to the floor, and it carries its own cable routing solution

  • VISIOPLAY hangs the video bar above or below the screen through the existing VESA 600 × 400 pattern

  • SOUND UP attaches to an already installed screen mount with a set of supplied spacers

  • SOUND UP works with any soundbar that has rear fixing holes at a pitch of up to 800 mm

  • Steel construction in black, indoor use on all four items

  • A 10 year warranty on FARGO, VISIOPLAY and SOUND UP

Description

A video bar in a meeting room either hangs on the wall, or hangs on something that is already on the wall, or does not hang at all and stands instead. This group covers all three routes. FARGO is a free-standing column for a video bar up to 9 kg with universal clamping, height adjustment from 1050 mm to 1400 mm and its own cable routing. It is fixed neither to the wall nor to the floor, which makes it the standard answer to rented space, glazed walls and anywhere drilling is out of the question.

VISIOPLAY is a bracket that hangs the video bar above or below the screen and passes the load into the existing VESA pattern of the screen or its mount. It therefore needs no second fixing into the wall. It has one single mounting pattern, 600 × 400, and the word universal here refers to the video bar clamping, not to VESA. The load rating is 15 kg mounted above the screen and 10 kg mounted below it.

SOUND UP is the cheapest and smallest of the three. It is not mounted on the wall but on an already installed screen mount, using a set of supplied spacers. It carries 7 kg and works with any soundbar that has rear fixing holes at a pitch of up to 800 mm. The fourth item in the group is a wall mount for the POLY TC8 touch controller, which takes room control off the table and onto the wall.

Strengths and limits

Strengths

  • Universal video bar clamping, one item serves POLY, Yealink, Yamaha and Crestron alike

  • FARGO needs no building work, it is set up and taken away as quickly as a piece of furniture

  • VISIOPLAY needs no second fixing into the wall, the load goes into the existing VESA pattern

  • A 10 year warranty on FARGO, VISIOPLAY and SOUND UP, twice the term of the POP-OUT video wall range

Limits and what to tell the customer

  • VISIOPLAY has one single mounting pattern, VESA 600 × 400. The word universal here refers to the video bar clamping, not to the pattern. On a screen or a mount with a 400 × 400 or 800 × 400 pattern the assembly will not go together.

  • On VISIOPLAY the geometry decides as much as the load rating. The distance between the VESA plane and the fixing points of the bar may be at most 630 mm with the fixing points behind the bar and 530 mm with fixing from underneath. In practice that is a more frequent limit than the weight. The load rating also differs by position, 15 kg above the screen and 10 kg below it.

  • SOUND UP is not mounted on the wall but on a screen mount. Without an already installed screen mount it cannot be quoted. Its 7 kg is the lowest rating in the group, and soundbars with their own proprietary clamping and no rear holes are not compatible.

  • FARGO carries 9 kg in all three versions. The rolling FARGO MOBILE, ref. 049470, stands on 4 castors, and the height of FARGO S, ref. 049481, and FARGO MOBILE we confirm with the order. On the mount for POLY TC8, ref. 049490, the dimensions, the fixing and the box contents we confirm with the order.

⚑ atlantis note

Universal does not mean universal VESA

On VISIOPLAY the two are easily confused. The video bar clamping is universal, the mounting pattern is not and is 600 × 400. A quote therefore has to check what pattern the screen or its mount provides. This is the most common reason a VISIOPLAY assembly does not go together on site.

Not POLY only

The name of the group invites reading it as an accessory to POLY Studio. FARGO, VISIOPLAY and SOUND UP are universal and serve Yealink, Yamaha and Crestron just as well. Dedicated platforms for specific POLY Studio models are separate references at the manufacturer, they are not in our price list and we order them on request.

The video bar weight first, the mount second

The load ratings in the group differ threefold, 7 kg on SOUND UP, 9 kg on FARGO and 15 kg on VISIOPLAY above the screen. Heavier video bars go to VISIOPLAY. Take the weight from the datasheet of the specific video bar, because the gap between models of one brand tends to be wider than the gap between brands.

What to verify before ordering and installing

  1. Video bar weight: from its datasheet, the ceiling of the group is 15 kg on VISIOPLAY above the screen

  2. VESA pattern on VISIOPLAY: the screen or its mount has to provide exactly 600 × 400

  3. Geometry on VISIOPLAY: at most 630 mm behind the bar and 530 mm with fixing from underneath

  4. Position of the video bar: 15 kg above the screen, 10 kg below it, allow for the lower figure

  5. An existing screen mount for SOUND UP: without one SOUND UP has nothing to attach to

  6. Rear holes of the soundbar: a pitch of at most 800 mm, clamping with no rear holes is not compatible

  7. Floor space for FARGO: the footprint of the base, the shipping carton measures 1030 mm × 540 mm

  8. Cabling to TC8: power and signal are brought to the position of the mount before installation

The atlantis team helps with every point. From matching the mount to the specific video bar through building readiness and cabling to installation, commissioning and handover of the documentation.

Installation design and services

  • The weakest link sets the load rating of the assembly: in a stand plus screen mount plus shelf assembly, the lowest of the stated load ratings always applies. Check the screen weight in its own datasheet, not from the diagonal.

  • Check VESA before ordering: the stated range is the maximum pattern, not a guarantee that the screen fits. On large formats and on screens with curved or irregular backs, verify both the pattern and the thickness in advance.

  • The wall type decides the fixing hardware: plasterboard, masonry and concrete each need different anchors. On part of the range the wall screw set is not in the box and the fixing hardware is chosen on site to suit the wall.

  • Cabling and service access belong in the design, not on the installation day: cable routing inside the column, the wall penetration and access to the back of the screen have to be in the room layout before anyone drills.

atlantis services for partners

atlantis is a direct importer and distributor, and we supply through a network of specialist partners. The services below are therefore offered to the partner, not to the end customer. The partner sets the scope. On one project we are only the source of the parts and a consultation, on another we design the whole run and oversee the work, on a third we take on the installation in full.

  • Choosing the kit by camera and distance: we pick the kit from the camera or codec the customer already has, how far it sits from the equipment and which interface is used, that is HDMI, USB or fibre. We also say what to do about a device that is not on the compatibility list.

  • Route design and building readiness: we go through the cable run with the partner, the category and length of the cabling, the number and position of the boxes, the wall penetration and the space in the rack. On in-wall mounts the opening size and cavity depth are what matters, and we settle those before the order, not on site.

  • Completing the order: we match the kit with the right cables, power supply and mount, because that is exactly where jobs are left unfinished. We check that the pieces fit each other by connector and by length, and that nothing the partner needs on day one is missing from the delivery.

  • Installation and commissioning: we handle the professional installation in full, or support the partner's own team where needed. Once it is wired we test the link at full distance, that is picture, camera control and power, before the ceiling is closed.

  • Integration with the customer's environment: we advise on connecting to the codec, to the control system and to third-party software and hardware, and on how the kit behaves when the camera is swapped for a different model.

  • Service, spare parts and warranty: our certified team in Czech, available to the partner throughout the equipment's life. We keep track of the replacement modules and parts by range and handle a warranty claim with the manufacturer on the partner's behalf.

Warranty

The ERARD PRO range is passive mechanics, so the warranty covers the structure, the welds, the moving parts and the finish. The warranty term is not the same across the brand and for a given item it is what is stated below.

Standard

10 years on the mechanics

This product carries a 10 year warranty, which ERARD PRO gives on most of its range. It covers the mechanics and the finish in indoor use.

10 years

Environment

Indoor use

The range is designed for indoor use. Outdoor installations, high humidity and aggressive environments are outside the scope of the warranty.

Take note

Installation per the manual

The warranty assumes installation per the manufacturer's manual and anchors suited to the wall construction. Exceeding the load rating or the VESA range is the most common reason a claim fails.

Frequently asked questions

Is VISIOPLAY a universal VESA mount?

No. 049489 has one single mounting pattern, 600 × 400. The word universal here refers to the video bar clamping, that is to it working with bars from various brands. For a screen or a mount with a 400 × 400 or 800 × 400 pattern VISIOPLAY cannot be used.

Can I mount SOUND UP directly on the wall?

No. 049589 attaches to an already installed screen mount with a set of supplied spacers, not into the wall on its own. Where there is no screen mount, another solution is needed, for example the VISIOPLAY bracket or the free-standing FARGO column.

Are these mounts usable for POLY only?

No. FARGO, VISIOPLAY and SOUND UP all have universal video bar clamping. The documented brands on VISIOPLAY cover POLY, YEALINK, YAMAHA, CRESTRON, LOGITECH, AVER, NUREVA, JABRA and BOSE. On SOUND UP the brand is irrelevant and the geometry decides, that is rear fixing holes at a pitch of up to 800 mm.

What video bar will FARGO carry?

The maximum load rating is 9 kg, which covers ordinary video bars such as POLY Studio X30, X50 and X52. On heavier set-ups the weight has to be checked against the specific model in its datasheet. The column stands free, it is fixed neither to the wall nor to the floor, and a cable routing solution is part of it.

What decides on VISIOPLAY besides the load rating?

The geometry. The distance between the VESA plane and the fixing points of the video bar may be at most 630 mm where the fixing points are behind the bar, and 530 mm with fixing from underneath the bar. In practice that is a more frequent limit than the weight, because 15 kg above the screen covers most ordinary video bars.

What do we know about the mount for POLY TC8?

Reference 049490 is a wall mount for the POLY TC8 touch controller. The controller is powered and connected by one cable to the video bar or over PoE, so the cabling has to be brought to the position of the mount before installation. The dimensions, the fixing, the box contents and compatibility with the POLY TC10 controller we confirm with the order.
