TiLTiT 400 (this product)

screens 30 to 65 inches up to 30 kg placed above eye level, where the panel should stay close to the wall

The family has a single order code in our offer, so where it sits in the range matters more than picking a variant. Against the fixed FiXiT 400, TiLTiT 400 adds downward tilt, against TWiSTiT 400 it has neither swivel nor extension from the wall. The 30 kg load rating and the 400 × 400 maximum pattern are the same on both tilting models.

Key features

  • Tilt of +0° / −25°, that is up to 25 degrees of downward tilt for the screen

  • Minimum wall clearance of 30 mm, an ultra-slim build even with a tilt mechanism

  • Load rating 30 kg for screens 30 to 65 inches, that is 76 cm to 165 cm

  • VESA pattern range from 200 × 100 to 400 × 400 including the rectangular combinations

  • Steel construction with epoxy paint, in a white and a black finish

  • Supplied pre-assembled, the installation time is 15 minutes

  • Approved for solid masonry as well as hollow plasterboard walls

  • Compatible with LCD and OLED screens with flat backs, maximum screen thickness 50 mm

Description

TiLTiT 400 addresses one specific situation, the screen hangs higher than eye level and the viewer looks up at it. That is the case in a reception, a lobby, a training room with a screen above an interactive whiteboard and in every installation where furniture or a desk left no room lower down. In such a position, tilting down by up to 25° noticeably improves legibility and suppresses reflections from ceiling lights.

In construction the model follows the same philosophy as the fixed FiXiT range, the screen as close to the wall as possible. A minimum clearance of 30 mm is little for a mount with tilt and it is the main reason TiLTiT is chosen over ordinary tilting mounts. The steel construction, the epoxy paint and the white and black finishes match the rest of the professional ERARD PRO range.

The family has a single item in our price list, so the choice is not made within the range but between ranges. If the screen is not to be tilted, FiXiT 400 is cheaper and slimmer. If the screen also has to swivel or move away from the wall, TWiSTiT 400 with the same 30 kg load rating belongs in the quote. The load rating and the 400 × 400 maximum VESA pattern of TiLTiT 400 match what our price list states, there is no discrepancy here.

Strengths and limits

Strengths

  • Up to 25° of downward tilt at a minimum clearance of 30 mm, which ordinary tilting mounts do not offer

  • Supplied pre-assembled, installation is a quarter of an hour of work

  • A wide pattern range from 200 × 100 to 400 × 400 covers the rectangular patterns too

  • Approved for solid and hollow walls alike, so it goes onto a plasterboard partition as well

Limits and what to tell the customer

  • The model has no swivel. The screen only tilts down, it does not turn to the side. For corner installations and for a screen watched from several directions, TWiSTiT 400 belongs in the quote.

  • The maximum screen thickness is 50 mm. On panels with a deep rear module, typically interactive displays and models with an integrated codec, the thickness has to be checked in advance.

  • Compatibility is declared for screens with flat backs. Curved or irregular backs call for separate adaptation.

  • Whether an integrated spirit level and an anti-drop safety catch are included, what the fixing hardware in the box consists of and what the wall clearance is at full tilt, we confirm at order.

⚑ atlantis note

Installation height decides the tilt

When the centre of the screen is above the eye level of a seated person, tilting down noticeably improves legibility and suppresses reflections from ceiling lights. If the screen hangs at eye level, you do not need tilt and the fixed FiXiT 400 is both slimmer and cheaper. So settle the height of the screen centre before the model of the mount.

Check the screen thickness at the very start

The ceiling is 50 mm and it is the parameter a quote most often falls on. Interactive panels and screens with an integrated codec or a built-in computer module tend to be deeper. This figure is always in the screen datasheet, it is enough to look at it before the quote goes out.

The cabling has to allow for movement

The 30 mm clearance applies in the parked position, at full tilt the space behind the screen changes. So run the cables with slack for the whole tilt range and place the wall penetration so that nothing pulls or kinks the cable when the screen tilts.

an ultra-slim tilting wall mount for indoor professional installations

Suitable

A screen above a reception desk, in a lobby and above an entrance, a training room with a screen above an interactive whiteboard, a signage panel placed higher because of furniture. Anywhere the screen is watched from below and should still stay close to the wall.

Verify

The weight, VESA pattern and thickness of the specific screen from its datasheet. The height of the screen centre and the tilt angle that follows from it. The wall construction and any need for load-bearing preparation. Where power and data will run.

Consider another model

A screen heavier than 30 kg or larger than 65 inches, a need to swivel sideways and extend from the wall, a screen with a curved back, an installation with no drilling into the wall, a screen at eye level with no need for tilt.

The “Suitable” field follows from the technical parameters of the model, the “Verify” and “Consider another model” fields from the practice of the atlantis team.

What to verify before ordering and installing

  1. Screen weight: from the screen datasheet, not from the diagonal, the ceiling is 30 kg

  2. Screen thickness: the maximum is 50 mm, on panels with a deep rear module it is the first thing to check

  3. VESA pattern: the specific screen model, the supported range is 200 × 100 to 400 × 400

  4. Installation height: a screen centre above eye level is the reason for tilt, otherwise a fixed mount is enough

  5. Wall construction: masonry, concrete or plasterboard and the anchors that follow

  6. Load-bearing preparation: on plasterboard and with a screen approaching 30 kg it is settled at the building stage

  7. Cabling: slack for the whole tilt range and a wall penetration behind the screen

  8. Back of the screen: compatibility is declared for flat backs, curved ones call for adaptation

The atlantis team helps with every point. From matching the mount to the specific screen through building readiness and cabling to installation, commissioning and handover of the documentation.

Installation design and services

  • The weakest link sets the load rating of the assembly: in a stand plus screen mount plus shelf assembly, the lowest of the stated load ratings always applies. Check the screen weight in its own datasheet, not from the diagonal.

  • Check VESA before ordering: the stated range is the maximum pattern, not a guarantee that the screen fits. On large formats and on screens with curved or irregular backs, verify both the pattern and the thickness in advance.

  • The wall type decides the fixing hardware: plasterboard, masonry and concrete each need different anchors. On part of the range the wall screw set is not in the box and the fixing hardware is chosen on site to suit the wall.

  • Cabling and service access belong in the design, not on the installation day: cable routing inside the column, the wall penetration and access to the back of the screen have to be in the room layout before anyone drills.

atlantis services for partners

atlantis is a direct importer and distributor, and we supply through a network of specialist partners. The services below are therefore offered to the partner, not to the end customer. The partner sets the scope. On one project we are only the source of the parts and a consultation, on another we design the whole run and oversee the work, on a third we take on the installation in full.

  • Choosing the kit by camera and distance: we pick the kit from the camera or codec the customer already has, how far it sits from the equipment and which interface is used, that is HDMI, USB or fibre. We also say what to do about a device that is not on the compatibility list.

  • Route design and building readiness: we go through the cable run with the partner, the category and length of the cabling, the number and position of the boxes, the wall penetration and the space in the rack. On in-wall mounts the opening size and cavity depth are what matters, and we settle those before the order, not on site.

  • Completing the order: we match the kit with the right cables, power supply and mount, because that is exactly where jobs are left unfinished. We check that the pieces fit each other by connector and by length, and that nothing the partner needs on day one is missing from the delivery.

  • Installation and commissioning: we handle the professional installation in full, or support the partner's own team where needed. Once it is wired we test the link at full distance, that is picture, camera control and power, before the ceiling is closed.

  • Integration with the customer's environment: we advise on connecting to the codec, to the control system and to third-party software and hardware, and on how the kit behaves when the camera is swapped for a different model.

  • Service, spare parts and warranty: our certified team in Czech, available to the partner throughout the equipment's life. We keep track of the replacement modules and parts by range and handle a warranty claim with the manufacturer on the partner's behalf.

Warranty

The ERARD PRO range is passive mechanics, so the warranty covers the structure, the welds, the moving parts and the finish. The warranty term is not the same across the brand and for a given item it is what is stated below.

Take note

Installation per the manual

The warranty assumes installation per the manufacturer's manual and anchors suited to the wall construction. Exceeding the load rating or the VESA range is the most common reason a claim fails.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between TiLTiT 400 and FiXiT 400?

The tilt. 044240 tilts the screen down by up to 25° and holds it at least 30 mm off the wall. FiXiT 400 has no tilt, holds the screen 16 mm off the wall and carries 60 kg against the 30 kg of TiLTiT. If the screen hangs at eye level and is not meant to move, FiXiT is the right choice.

What is the difference between TiLTiT 400 and TWiSTiT 400?

Swivel and extension. Both models have the same 30 kg load rating, the same 30 to 65 inch span of diagonals and the same 400 × 400 maximum pattern. TWiSTiT 400 additionally swivels the screen by ±90° and brings it up to 710 mm in front of the wall, at the price of a larger minimum clearance of 58 mm and a markedly heavier mount.

How large is the tilt and does the screen tilt upwards?

The range is +0° / −25°, that is downward tilt only, up to 25 degrees. The screen cannot be tilted upwards and there would be no point, the tilt addresses the situation where the screen hangs above eye level and the viewer looks up at it.

How thick a screen fits on the mount?

The maximum screen thickness is 50 mm. On ordinary professional panels that is not an issue, on interactive displays and on models with an integrated codec or a built-in computer module it is. The thickness is in the screen datasheet and it belongs among the first things to check.

Can the mount go on plasterboard?

Yes, the model is approved for solid and hollow walls alike. The anchors do have to suit the wall construction and the screen weight. With a screen approaching 30 kg on a plasterboard partition, load-bearing preparation is needed, that is a reinforcement or a stud at the fixing point, and it is settled at the building stage.

How many people are needed for the installation?

The mount is supplied pre-assembled and fixing it to the wall takes roughly 15 minutes. Hanging a screen approaching 30 kg is a two-person job though, even if one person manages the mount itself.
