Description

A huddle room without a cabinet full of hardware

Poly Studio X32 is intended for huddle rooms and small meeting rooms, that is spaces up to roughly 4.6 × 3.0 metres. Camera, microphones and speakers sit in one unit and meetings run directly on the device, with no computer in the room. Installation means connecting a display and the network and configuring the platform, the room account and the controls.

One cable into the room

Studio X32 is powered over PoE++, so the video bar needs no power supply of its own and a single network cable is enough. Power for the display and other components is handled separately. That is a fundamental difference from the larger models in the range, which have their own AC adapter. The exact standard and class required are stated in Limits and in the atlantis note.

Everyone is seen and heard

The 20-megapixel camera covers a short room where participants sit close, thanks to a 132° diagonal field of view. Poly DirectorAI provides automatic framing of individuals (people framing) and of the whole group (group framing) as well as active speaker tracking (speaker framing). Four MEMS microphones pick up voices at a range of up to 4.5 metres, which matches the recommended room size.

Teams, Zoom or Google Meet, as the customer chooses

The device runs native apps for Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet. The platform decision is therefore not a hardware decision: the platform is chosen during configuration and can later be changed in settings. In Poly App mode, standards-based SIP and H.323 up to 6 Mbps are also available for connecting to video conferencing infrastructure. Content can be connected by cable over the HDMI input, and over USB the video bar serves as camera and audio for a connected laptop.

Limits worth telling the customer

No power supply is included. The device requires PoE++ to IEEE 802.3bt, class 6, from a switch or an injector. Standard PoE and PoE+ are not sufficient.
The recommended room size is up to 4.6 × 3.0 m and the microphones reach 4.5 m. A larger meeting room needs Studio X52 or X72.
The camera has fixed focus and digital zoom, not optical.
The standard manufacturer warranty on this model is one year.

⚑ atlantis note

Power

The manufacturer's official name for this code is "No Power Supply". Power has to be resolved in the network design, that is a switch with PoE++ to IEEE 802.3bt or an injector. We are happy to confirm a suitable injector from our range for the specific installation, as none is included with this code.

Region

The #ABB suffix is the European variant. Ordering #ABA is the most common mistake with HP products and the two are not interchangeable.

Mounting

The box contains a display mounting clamp. The wall and VESA mounting kit (875L6AA) and the table stand (875L5AA) are not included and are ordered separately.

Controls

For native Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms mode allow for a touch controller, that is Poly TC10 (875K5AA black, 875J5AA#AC3 white). It is not in the video bar box.

Is a power supply included?

No. In this ordering variant Poly Studio X32 is powered over PoE++ to IEEE 802.3bt, class 6, that is from a switch or an injector; standard PoE and PoE+ are not enough. The manufacturer's official name for the code is "No Power Supply". Availability has to be verified on the specific port during design.

Do I need a separate PC with Studio X32?

No, in native mode Poly Studio X32 needs no separate PC. The Teams, Zoom and Google Meet apps run on the device itself. A laptop is only needed in USB mode.

What room size does X32 suit?

Designed for a room of 15 × 10 ft, that is roughly 4.6 × 3.0 metres. The microphones reach 4.5 m. For a standard meeting room choose Studio X52, for a larger room Studio X72.

Is a mount included?

The Poly Studio X32 box contains a display mounting clamp. The wall and VESA kit (875L6AA) and the table stand (875L5AA) are not included.
