A Rove handset lasts up to 18 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby. The battery is a consumable though, and its capacity falls with the number of charge cycles until the handset no longer lasts a shift.

In multishift operation a second battery to swap is worth having, rather than a replacement once the first wears out. The handset then runs continuously and the spare charges while the other is in use.
