What it is for
The control panel is the only thing the user sees in the room. It starts the meeting, switches the source and sets the volume. Without one the room is driven from the computer, which in a shared meeting room means nobody knows how to start it.
The panel is ordered separately, it does not automatically belong to a Group PC system. In a room budget it is the line that gets forgotten, and yet it decides whether the room gets used.
