A camera for existing installations

Poly EagleEye IV 12x is a PTZ camera with a mini HDCI interface. It connects to Polycom codecs that have this connector. It is not a USB camera and will not connect to a computer or to the newer Poly Studio systems. We carry it for customers running older video conferencing systems who need a second camera or a replacement for a damaged unit.

What it does

The camera has 12× zoom, auto focus and works at 60 frames per second. Pan and tilt are controlled from the connected codec. The body measures 218 × 138 × 118 mm and the finish is silver.

For new installations choose a newer camera

For a new project the right choice is a Poly Studio E70 or Poly Studio E60 camera with a Poly Studio G62 compute unit, or an all-in-one Studio X video bar. The EagleEye IV is a solution for an environment that is already built.

Limits and what to tell the customer

The interface is mini HDCI, not USB. The camera will not connect to a computer or to Poly Studio systems.
Compatibility with the specific codec has to be verified before ordering. We are happy to do that for you.
We will confirm with your order whether a power supply is in the box. The camera is powered at 12 V / 1.2 A.
It is not suitable for new installations, those call for the Poly Studio range.

Before ordering, send us the exact codec model the camera will connect to, and its firmware version if possible. The HDCI interface has had several variants over time, so we would rather confirm compatibility than have the customer receive a camera they cannot connect.

New projects

Do not quote this camera for a new project. The current solution is a Poly Studio E70 or Studio E60 with a Poly Studio G62 unit, or a Studio X video bar.

Power and mounting

The box for this code contains the camera and an HDCI cable. We will confirm with your order whether a power supply and a mounting kit are included, so check what the customer already has on site.

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect the EagleEye IV to a computer over USB?

No. The camera has a single mini HDCI port and connects to a video conferencing codec. It has no USB interface.

Does it work with Poly Studio X video bars?

No. Poly Studio systems have no HDCI port. The cameras for those are the Poly Studio E70 and E60.

How do I find out whether the camera is compatible with our codec?
