What it is for
A QD headset does not connect to a computer directly. The adapter is the part that converts QD to USB and processes the audio as well, that is boosts the microphone, suppresses noise and serves the inline controls. Without one a QD headset is unusable, not merely less convenient.
This applies to thirteen of the twenty-one EncorePro order codes and to most contact centre headsets. It is the most common source of claims on corded headsets, and yet ordering the adapter together with the headset settles it.

The adapter is not an extra, it is a condition of use
On a QD headset the adapter decides whether the customer can plug it in at all. Always offer it in the same order as the headset, not after a claim arrives.
TAA version
The code is listed as a TAA version, under the US Trade Agreements Act. It carries no benefit for a Czech customer and is technically the same device.

Why is a USB cable not enough?
The adapter not only converts the audio but processes it, boosting the microphone and serving the inline controls. A plain cable cannot do that, and a QD headset will not connect to a computer without one.
Which adapter should I pick?
We carry the DA75, DA85 and DA85-M. They differ in the extent of audio processing and the -M version is meant for Microsoft environments. We are happy to advise by use case.
