Android 12, powered from PoE under IEEE 802.3af class 0
Description
A touch device, not a keypad with a screen
The CCX 600 is built as a touch device running Android 12, not as a conventional phone with buttons. The seven inch 1024 × 600 display is operated by gestures and is the largest in the CCX range. For a workplace where the user switches often between lines, contacts and the directory, that is a marked difference from a keypad phone. It is also why the phone is more demanding on power: it sits in PoE class 4, drawing up to 25 W.
The Microsoft Teams version, decided by the order code
This code is the version certified for Microsoft Teams, for deployments where calling runs through Teams Phone. The Open SIP version for registering to a PBX is a separate HP order code. So settle the platform before ordering, not at deployment.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and two USB ports
The CCX 505 and CCX 600 are the only models in the range with Wi-Fi on the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands and Bluetooth 4.2, so they manage without a network socket at the desk and pair a Bluetooth headset. They also have two USB ports, Type-A and Type-C. The CCX 400 has a single Type-A port and the CCX 350 a single Type-C port. A headset connects by RJ-9 or through the EHS port.
Strengths and limits
Strengths
The largest display in the range, 7 inches at 1024 × 600
A lower draw, PoE class 0 fits an older switch too
Two USB ports, Type-A and Type-C
802.1X authentication, SRTP media encryption and secure provisioning over HTTPS
Limits and what to tell the customer
No power adapter in the box. The phone needs 5 V and 15 W, which in our offering is code 89T06AA#ABB.
The power supply differs across the range. For this model it is code 89T06AA#ABB, the CCX 350 takes 86H66AA, the CCX 505 and 600 take 86P04AA#ABB.
No wall mount kit in the box, code 85W89AA for this model.
The platform is fixed by the order code. This code is Microsoft Teams certified and cannot be used on a SIP PBX.
⚑ atlantis note
Settle the platform before the model
With the CCX range the first question is the platform, not the display size. Microsoft Teams and Open SIP are separate order codes and getting it wrong means exchanging the goods. Ask what the phone will register to: a PBX or a SIP trunk means Open SIP, Teams Phone means the Teams version. We carry the CCX 350 in the Teams version only.
Power works differently on the CCX 600
The CCX 350, 400 and 505 sit in PoE class 0 drawing up to 13 W, the CCX 600 in class 4 drawing up to 25 W under the 802.3at standard. On an older switch that only does 802.3af the CCX 600 may not come up. Verify that beforehand. No model ships with a power adapter and they differ: for the CCX 350 it is code 86H66AA, for the CCX 400 code 89T06AA#ABB, for the CCX 505 and 600 code 86P04AA#ABB.
The CCX 350 is not a touch phone
The CCX range is sold as a touch range, but the CCX 350 has no touch display: it has a 2.8 inch colour screen and is operated by keypad. It also has no EHS port, so a wireless DECT headset with automatic answering cannot be attached. If the customer wants touch, the range starts at the CCX 400.

Recommended use | a business media phone with a touch display and NoiseBlockAI noise reduction on speakerphone calls |
|---|---|

Verify
What platform the phone will register to, Open SIP or Microsoft Teams. Whether the switch does PoE under 802.3at with 25 W of budget on the port. Whether wall mounting is needed. Whether the five inch display of the CCX 505 would do.
Consider another model
CCX 600 for Teams with a seven inch display and Wi-Fi, CCX 350 for an undemanding Teams deployment, Poly Edge E for a conventional keypad phone, Poly Rove for a DECT phone that moves around the building.
The “Verify” and “Consider another model” cards come from the experience of the atlantis team.
