What it is for
The hub adds BYOD to a room with a G9+ computer, that is the ability to connect a guest's own laptop to the room's equipment.
Without it the room is usable only through the client installed on the company computer. In rooms that host external participants that is a practical limit which shows up at the first client meeting.
