Description
CLIFF is the entry range of ERARD PRO wall mounts and in practice the most frequently deployed mount wherever a screen hangs fixed and is not meant to move. One construction principle covers the whole span from a small panel at an entrance to a large screen in a boardroom, so a project with ten rooms does not end up mixing five different systems.
The range has three functional versions. The fixed variants CLIFF 100, 200, 400 and 600 hold the screen 20 mm off the wall and are meant for places where the screen should blend into the wall. The variants with the letter T, that is CLIFF 200T, 400T and 600T, allow +5° / −15° of tilt and hold the screen 71 mm off the wall. Downward tilt is needed wherever the screen hangs above eye level, typically in a reception, a training room or above an entrance. The TW45 variants add swivel, ±20° on CLIFF 100TW45 and 200TW45, ±70° on CLIFF 400TW45 on an arm with 80 mm to 255 mm of extension. CLIFF STRETCH is a CLIFF 200 kit with two adapter bars for panoramic screens with a 600 × 200 pattern, in portrait or landscape.
The choice of a specific code comes down to two numbers, the VESA pattern on the back of the screen and its weight. The diagonal is only a guide. CLIFF 100, 100T and 100TW45 carry 15 kg, the rest of the range 30 kg, which covers the vast majority of professional screens up to 85 inches, but on heavy formats and on interactive panels the weight has to be checked in the screen datasheet.
Strengths and limits
Strengths
One range covers 15 to 85 inches, a project does not mix several systems
The spirit level is in the mount, installation is quick and level even single-handed
20 mm clearance on the fixed variants, the screen reads as part of the wall
A 10 year warranty, the same service life as the rest of the brand's range
Limits and what to tell the customer
30 kg is the ceiling of the whole range, the 100 variants carry 15 kg. Heavy interactive panels and large formats above 30 kg belong on another range, typically on a stand or on a higher-capacity system.
The 20 mm clearance on the fixed variants narrows the space behind the screen. HDMI and power connectors with an angled end fit there, straight connectors and thicker cables do not, and the cabling design has to allow for that.
Compatibility is declared for screens with flat backs. Curved or irregular backs call for separate adaptation.
Wall anchors are chosen to suit the wall construction. Plasterboard and masonry need different fixings and a heavy screen on plasterboard needs load-bearing preparation.
⚑ atlantis note
Fixed or tilting
Decide by installation height, not by price. When the centre of the screen is above the eye level of a seated person, downward tilt noticeably improves legibility and cuts reflections from ceiling lights. If the screen hangs at eye level, the fixed variant is the better one, it keeps the screen closer to the wall and looks cleaner.
VESA first, diagonal second
The diagonal in the table is indicative. What decides is the VESA pattern on the back of the specific screen and its weight. On large formats with the same diagonal the pattern differs between manufacturers, which is why a quote should always carry the specific screen model, not just its size.
Settle the cabling before drilling
On the fixed variants there is 20 mm behind the screen. The wall penetration, the socket and the data outlet belong exactly behind the screen and have to be in the design before anyone drills. Running the cable on the wall surface afterwards is the most common aesthetic compromise, and one phone call at design stage prevents it.
Which installation
Range coverage | screens 15 to 85 inches, load rating 15 kg on the 100 variants and 30 kg on the rest of the range |
|---|---|
Wall type | solid masonry wall as well as hollow plasterboard partition, anchors to suit the construction |
Position in the portfolio | a fixed wall mount for screens, for indoor professional installations |
Suitable
A meeting room with a screen on the wall, a signage panel in a corridor or a reception, a training room, a screen in an executive office. Anywhere the screen hangs fixed and is not meant to swivel or extend.
Verify
The weight and VESA pattern of the specific screen from its datasheet. The wall construction and any need for load-bearing preparation. The height of the screen centre and the tilt that follows from it. Where power and data will run and where the socket will be.
Consider another model
A screen heavier than 30 kg, a need to swivel beyond ±70° or extend further than 255 mm, an installation with no drilling into the wall, mobile use across several rooms, a video wall of two or more panels.
The “Suitable” field follows from the technical parameters of the range, the “Verify” and “Consider another model” fields from the practice of the atlantis team.

What to verify before ordering and installing
Screen weight: from the screen datasheet, not from the diagonal, the ceiling of the range is 30 kg
VESA pattern: the specific screen model, not just its size
Installation height: a screen centre above eye level means the tilting variant
Wall construction: masonry, concrete or plasterboard and the anchors that follow
Load-bearing preparation: on plasterboard and with a heavy screen it is settled at the building stage
Cabling: penetration, socket and data outlet exactly behind the screen, on the fixed variants there is 20 mm behind it
Back of the screen: a flat back needs no adaptation, a curved or irregular one needs an adapter plate
Environment: a publicly accessible space means adding anti-theft securing
The atlantis team helps with every point. From matching the mount to the specific screen through building readiness and cabling to installation, commissioning and handover of the documentation.
Installation design and services
The weakest link sets the load rating of the assembly: in a stand plus screen mount plus shelf assembly, the lowest of the stated load ratings always applies. Check the screen weight in its own datasheet, not from the diagonal.
Check VESA before ordering: the stated range is the maximum pattern, not a guarantee that the screen fits. On large formats and on screens with curved or irregular backs, verify both the pattern and the thickness in advance.
The wall type decides the fixing hardware: plasterboard, masonry and concrete each need different anchors. On part of the range the wall screw set is not in the box and the fixing hardware is chosen on site to suit the wall.
Cabling and service access belong in the design, not on the installation day: cable routing inside the column, the wall penetration and access to the back of the screen have to be in the room layout before anyone drills.
atlantis services for partners
atlantis is a direct importer and distributor, and we supply through a network of specialist partners. The services below are therefore offered to the partner, not to the end customer. The partner sets the scope. On one project we are only the source of the parts and a consultation, on another we design the whole run and oversee the work, on a third we take on the installation in full.
Choosing the kit by camera and distance: we pick the kit from the camera or codec the customer already has, how far it sits from the equipment and which interface is used, that is HDMI, USB or fibre. We also say what to do about a device that is not on the compatibility list.
Route design and building readiness: we go through the cable run with the partner, the category and length of the cabling, the number and position of the boxes, the wall penetration and the space in the rack. On in-wall mounts the opening size and cavity depth are what matters, and we settle those before the order, not on site.
Completing the order: we match the kit with the right cables, power supply and mount, because that is exactly where jobs are left unfinished. We check that the pieces fit each other by connector and by length, and that nothing the partner needs on day one is missing from the delivery.
Installation and commissioning: we handle the professional installation in full, or support the partner's own team where needed. Once it is wired we test the link at full distance, that is picture, camera control and power, before the ceiling is closed.
Integration with the customer's environment: we advise on connecting to the codec, to the control system and to third-party software and hardware, and on how the kit behaves when the camera is swapped for a different model.
Service, spare parts and warranty: our certified team in Czech, available to the partner throughout the equipment's life. We keep track of the replacement modules and parts by range and handle a warranty claim with the manufacturer on the partner's behalf.
Warranty
The ERARD PRO range is passive mechanics, so the warranty covers the structure, the welds, the moving parts and the finish. The warranty term is not the same across the brand and for a given item it is what is stated below.
Standard
10 years on the mechanics
This product carries a 10 year warranty, which ERARD PRO gives on most of its range. It covers the mechanics and the finish in indoor use.

Environment
Indoor use
The range is designed for indoor use. Outdoor installations, high humidity and aggressive environments are outside the scope of the warranty.

Take note
Installation per the manual
The warranty assumes installation per the manufacturer's manual and anchors suited to the wall construction. Exceeding the load rating or the VESA range is the most common reason a claim fails.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between CLIFF 400 and CLIFF 400T?
The letter T means tilt. 043040 is fixed and holds the screen 20 mm off the wall. 043240 allows +5° / −15° of tilt and holds the screen 71 mm off the wall. The load rating and the maximum VESA pattern are the same on both, that is 30 kg and 400 × 400.
How do I pick the right code?
By the VESA pattern on the back of the screen and by its weight. The diagonal in the table is only a guide, because screens of the same size differ between manufacturers in both pattern and weight. The safest route is to send us the specific screen model.
Will the mount carry an interactive panel?
It depends on the weight. The ceiling of the range is 30 kg on all variants except CLIFF 100, 100T and 100TW45, which carry 15 kg. Interactive panels tend to be markedly heavier than an ordinary screen of the same diagonal, so the weight has to be checked in their datasheet. Above 30 kg the screen belongs on a higher-capacity solution.
Can the mount go on plasterboard?
Yes, the range is approved for solid and hollow walls alike. The anchors do have to suit the wall construction and the screen weight. With a heavier screen on a plasterboard partition, load-bearing preparation is needed, that is a reinforcement or a stud at the fixing point, and it is settled at the building stage.
Are wall anchors in the box?
The box holds the fixing hardware for the screen and the installation manual. The wall fixings are chosen to suit the wall construction, because masonry, concrete and plasterboard each need a different solution. This is the most common reason an installation is not finished on the first visit.
How many people are needed for the installation?
The mount itself is installed by one person, in roughly 10 minutes on the fixed variants and 10 to 15 minutes on the tilting ones, 20 minutes on CLIFF 200TW45 and 400TW45. Hanging a large screen is a two-person job though, and above 65 inches that is not a recommendation but a necessity.
