Barco ClickShare C-5 GEN2
ClickShare C-5 Gen2 and ClickShare C-10 Gen2 — a Base Unit for wireless presentation in a meeting room. It connects to one display, and users share content to it from a laptop or phone through the ClickShare Button, the ClickShare app or native protocols. The C-5 is the entry model with one source on screen, the C-10 shows two sources at once and also works with a touch display.

Description
Wireless presentation to one display
The Base Unit connects to the meeting room display with an HDMI or USB-C cable and sends the image in 4K UHD at 30 Hz, with audio going to the display over HDMI. Users share content wirelessly in three ways: through the ClickShare Button 4th generation plugged into a laptop, through the ClickShare App on a computer or phone, or through the native protocols AirPlay, Google Cast and Miracast. The Base Unit has no HDMI input.
C-5 or C-10
The ClickShare C-5 Gen2 is the entry model for huddle spaces and small meeting rooms. There is always one source on screen and no Button in the box, so sharing runs through the app and native protocols, or Buttons are ordered separately. The ClickShare C-10 Gen2 is the interactive model for any meeting space. Two users including guests can share at the same time, and with a touch display it offers touchback, annotation and blackboarding. It ships with one or two Buttons depending on the order code.
What the 2nd generation brings
On the 2nd generation all ports are USB 3.0 and the USB-C port supports DisplayPort over USB-C and Power Delivery. One cable to a USB-C display is therefore enough, and if the display delivers at least 65 W over USB-C Power Delivery, it also powers the Base Unit without the adapter. With a touch display a USB-A cable may be needed to carry touch, as touch over USB-C does not always work.
Installation, security and management
The Base Unit sits on the table, or the mounting base from the box fixes it with adhesive tape or screws to a wall or ceiling. Mounting on a display needs a TV mount, which is not in the box. It is set up in the Configurator web interface, security has three predefined levels, and Buttons can join the corporate network through IEEE 802.1X as well. Automatic firmware update is on by default once the unit is connected to the network, Buttons update over Wi-Fi, and a fleet of units can be managed in XMS Cloud. Our installation also covers configuration, network connection and control, that is pairing the Buttons, setting the security level and registering SmartCare.
Strengths and limits
Strengths
Three ways to share: Button, app and native protocols
One cable to a USB-C display carries both the image and power for the Base Unit
A small body of 34 × 135 × 135 mm, mounting on a table, wall, ceiling or display
The C-10 adds a second source on screen and work with a touch display
Kensington lock against theft
Limits and what to tell the customer
The C-5 has no Button in the box. With code
R9861605EUButtons are ordered separately; without them the app and native protocols remain.Only the ClickShare Button 4th generation works. The 5th generation Button
R9861700D01Cbelongs to ClickShare Hub and does not work with the C range. The newer revision of the 4th generation Button (4.1) requires Base Unit firmware 2.12.0.12 or later. There is no HDMI input. The
R9861581convertor does not belong to the C range.Native sharing on the C-10 depends on configuration and firmware version. We will confirm the status for the specific deployment with the order.
The Base Unit is region locked. The EU version cannot be operated outside its region.
The TV mount for mounting on a display is not in the box.
The 5-year coverage applies only after SmartCare registration within the first one-year standard warranty.
⚑ atlantis note
Which code to order
The number of simultaneous sources and the number of Buttons decide. R9861605EU is the C-5 with no Button and one source on screen. R9861611EUB1 is the C-10 with one Button, R9861611EUB2 with two. If two presenters regularly take turns in the room, go straight for the code with two Buttons.
Plan a Button with the C-5
Customers often expect a Button in the box with the C-5 too. If they want to share at the press of a button, include the single Button R9861600D01C or the pack of two Buttons with a tray R9861600P01C in the quote.
4th generation Buttons only
Only the ClickShare Button 4th generation belongs to the C range. The 5th generation Button R9861700D01C is intended for ClickShare Hub Core and Hub Pro and works with neither the C-5 nor the C-10. The newer revision of the 4th generation Button (4.1) requires Base Unit firmware 2.12.0.12 or later on the C and CX ranges, so update the firmware before pairing.
Register SmartCare at installation
The standard warranty is 1 year. The 5-year coverage comes with the free SmartCare, but only if the unit is registered in the end customer's name and added to XMS Cloud within the first year. The safest moment is right at the room handover.
The HDMI input convertor is not for the C range
The R9861581 convertor is intended for the CX-50 2nd generation, Bar and Hub, not for the C-5 and C-10. Do not put it in a quote for the C range.
Power from the display, or the adapter
The Base Unit takes power from the display only over USB-C with Power Delivery of at least 65 W. Otherwise the adapter from the box is used. The spare 12 V DC, 2 A adapter has code B563182K.

Suitable
A meeting room or huddle space where content is shared from a laptop or phone to one display. The C-10 where two people present at once or where work happens on a touch display.
Check
How many Buttons the room needs. Whether the customer has 5th generation Buttons. Whether the display offers USB-C with 65 W Power Delivery and whether it is a touch display. Where the Base Unit will be mounted. Whether it runs stand-alone or on a corporate network with IEEE 802.1X.
Consider another model
ClickShare CX-20, CX-30 or CX-50 2nd generation where the laptop should use the room camera, microphones and speakers. ClickShare Bar Core or Bar Pro when ClickShare and a video bar should be one device. ClickShare Hub Core or Hub Pro for a Microsoft Teams Rooms room.
The “Check” and “Consider another model” fields come from the practice of the atlantis team.

SmartCare: registration to the end customer and adding to XMS Cloud within the first year
The atlantis team will help with every point. From the choice of model and number of Buttons through mounting, network and security setup to SmartCare registration and room handover.
Management and services
XMS Cloud: Barco's cloud platform for remote management, monitoring and analytics of ClickShare devices. It is part of the SmartCare service, so the customer does not buy it separately.
Firmware updates: once connected to the network, the device updates itself by default. Bulk and scheduled updates are run from XMS Cloud, and a single device can be updated manually through its ClickShare Configurator web interface. ClickShare Buttons update automatically over Wi-Fi.
Security levels: devices of the C and CX ranges and ClickShare Bar Pro have three predefined security levels, level 1 is the default. Changing the level means pairing the Buttons again, so we recommend setting it right at installation.
atlantis services for partners
atlantis is a direct importer and distributor, and we deliver projects through a network of specialist partners. The services below are therefore offered to the partner, not to the end customer. The partner sets the scope. On one project we take on the whole delivery, on another we cover just the part the partner currently lacks capacity or specialisation for, and on a third the partner manages alone and uses us only for a consultation.
Before the decision: a consultation on choosing the system and a comparison of the suitable options. The recommendation is built on the size and the character of the room, that is light, acoustics, shape, seating layout and furnishing, then on headcount and on how meetings are actually run there. We offer a live demonstration at our premises, which the partner can bring their customer to, and where it is warranted a test installation, that is a proof of concept.
Delivery and installation: transport, professional mounting and the work that goes with it, that is cabling, installation material, brackets and room alterations. We handle the installation in full, or support the partner's own team where needed.
Network readiness and security: we advise on preparing the network for the demands of two-way real-time video, that is throughput, latency and traffic prioritisation, and on securing the communication.
Configuration and integration: setting up the communication platform and the room account, connecting to the network, and advice on linking and integrating third-party software and hardware.
Training and documentation: training prepared to match the user's role, that is one thing for room users and another for administrators, plus preparation of both project and user documentation.
Service and support after the sale: our certified team in Czech, available to the partner throughout the equipment's life. We handle a warranty claim with the manufacturer on the partner's behalf.

FAQ
Is there a Button in the C-5 box?
The ClickShare C-5 Gen2 with code R9861605EU ships without a Button. Sharing works through the ClickShare app or native protocols; the 4th generation Button is ordered separately as R9861600D01C, or two Buttons with a tray as R9861600P01C.
What is the difference between codes R9861611EUB1 and R9861611EUB2?
The ClickShare C-10 Gen2 is the same on both codes. R9861611EUB1 has one 4th generation Button in the box, R9861611EUB2 two. More Buttons can be ordered at any time under code R9861600D01C.
Does the 5th generation Button work with the C range?
The ClickShare C-5 Gen2 and C-10 Gen2 work with the ClickShare Button 4th generation, single R9861600D01C. The newer revision of the 4th generation Button (4.1) requires Base Unit firmware 2.12.0.12 or later, so update the firmware before pairing. The 5th generation Button R9861700D01C is intended for ClickShare Hub Core and Hub Pro and does not work with the C range.
Can a laptop be connected to the Base Unit with an HDMI cable?
The ClickShare C-5 Gen2 and C-10 Gen2 have no HDMI input; content is shared wirelessly. The HDMI input convertor R9861581 is intended for the CX-50 2nd generation, Bar and Hub and does not belong to the C range.
Can the Base Unit be powered from the display?
The ClickShare C-5 Gen2 and C-10 Gen2 can be powered over USB-C from a display delivering Power Delivery of at least 65 W. One cable then carries both image and power. Otherwise the adapter from the box is used; the spare 12 V DC, 2 A adapter has code B563182K.
How long is the warranty?
The ClickShare C-5 Gen2 and C-10 Gen2 carry a 1-year standard warranty. After registration through the free SmartCare the unit gets 5 years of coverage. Registration to the end customer and adding to XMS Cloud must happen within the first year; we recommend doing it at installation.
How do I recognise the 2nd generation?
The ClickShare C-5 Gen2 and C-10 Gen2 have order codes starting R98616, that is R9861605EU, R9861611EUB1 and R9861611EUB2. Compared with the 1st generation, all ports are USB 3.0 and the USB-C port offers DisplayPort and Power Delivery.
